I am a board certified psychotherapist graduate Hunter College Graduate School, and Columbia University. I have been practicing more than 20 years with extensive experience in training in cognitive psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and system centered psychotherapy. Also, being a certified addictions specialist, I utilize the 12 Step Approach, and Smart Recovery.I also graduated from the William Alanson White Institute's Eating Disorder Program.I have trained with Marsha M Linehan, who is at the forefront in writing in teaching cognitive psychotherapy: graduated from advanced training program at Ackerman Family Therapy Institute: graduated from Intensive Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy Program at William Alanson White Institute.
I treat anxiety, depression, bipolar, borderline, ptsd/trauma, dissociative disorders, job stress, relationship issues, addictions/ substance abuse, sexual identity and cultural identity issues.
My client appreciate my passion and attentiveness in working with them, and ongoing respect for who they are. They also like that I meet with them on time, and that I am receptive and genuine in getting to know them at a pace that is beneficial to them.
My clients also appreciate that I have a zest for staying on the cutting edge of constantly learning and applying treatment from schools that provide substantive theorectical models and techniques that have proven to be effective.
One of the nicest things that my clients have said about me has come from my adolescent group insofar as their sharing that they see that I enjoy working with them, and that they trust me.
