I am an experienced psychotherapist working with individuals and couples in Center City Philadelphia, and the suburbs on the Main Line.
My belief is that life is all about relationships; whether with your significant other, friend, business partner, family member or the often-neglected relationship we all need to take time to cultivate and nurture - the one with our own self.
I am committed to working with individuals alone or in relationships. In my work with individuals, I employ a collaborative approach, creating a therapeutic relationship that is warm, safe and non judgemental as you look for insights and/or personal growth, learn skillful ways to understand and navigate your anxiety and/or depression, struggle with insecurities/self esteem issues, or if you are on a spiritual quest seeking a safe place in which to explore issues such as the deeper meaning of life or finding your higher purpose. I am skilled at both short term problem solving or longer term deep transformative healing.
In my work with couples, I teach more effective and skillful communication styles, how to understand and work with the underlying issues and difficult patterns that create problematic relational dynamics. My years of experience include helping couples heal and enhance their relationships as well as helping those who face the decision to end the relationship do so more wisely, kindly and effectively.
My approach is an eclectic one, incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy and psychodynamic work. I also draw on my 25 year practice of Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation.
My fee is at the higher end of the spectrum, commensurate with my years of experience. Please contact me BEFORE scheduling to discuss any concerns.
