About Samantha Bowen

My initial exposure to physical therapy was as a patient -- as is the case for many therapists -- after a gymnastics-related injury. I loved the dynamic nature of the profession and the way my therapist tailored the treatment to my sport. I went to college with the goal of going to physical therapy school, but had decided to keep an open mind about my future career. The decision to become a physical therapist was solidified for me when two people in my life underwent joint replacement surgery. The road to recovery was long, but the improvement in quality of life was dramatic, and there was a physical therapist with them every step of the way. When I saw the role that treatment and guidance from a PT played in helping my loved ones feel like themselves again, there was no looking back. I strive to bring each of these qualities to the patients I now treat by individualizing the plan of care to their goals and priorities; it is their journey, and I am here to guide and support them along the way.
