As a therapist, she works hard to provide you with a safe space to discuss and uncover both the good and the bad. She has experience as a psychotherapist working with various mental health disorders but primarily focuses on anxiety, trauma, dissociative disorders, chronic health issues, anger management, and depression. Samantha uses a personalized treatment plan for each patient to help you achieve your goals.
Samantha understands that working on your mental health is your top priority, and it might not always be easy, but she will be there every step of the way. She will work collaboratively with you to tackle whatever issues you may have so you feel more empowered in yourself. As your therapist, Samantha's number one goal is for you to have the time you need to work on yourself without feeling judged or criticized for what you discuss in sessions.
Samantha prides herself on being a Latinx therapist fluent in Spanish who is multiculturally competent. She attended Long Island University, Brooklyn campus, where she earned both her B.A. in Psychology and her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling. Samantha gained experience working in fast-paced community clinics offering services to a variety of patients with different mental health disorders. She also led a women's support group at Mount Sinai Hospital for women who have Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis, conditions she shares.
Samantha is kind, compassionate, and empathetic, committed to helping you become the best version of yourself. She aims to help you feel accomplished, confident, and empowered by teaching healthy coping strategies.
