Samantha Silverberg, M.A., L.P.C. is a licensed professional counselor in NJ, PA, and VA with ten years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She received her Master’s degree in psychology at the New School with specialized training in expressive arts therapies, as well as a Master’s degree in clinical psychology at LaSalle University.
She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Fielding Graduate University having completed her predoctoral residency in clinical psychology at Youth Consultation Services in NJ and currently receiving postdoctoral training at the Parent-Infant Center through the Child and Family Institute at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. Her focus there is on integrating mental health into women’s primary healthcare during and after pregnancy, as well as with young children.
With a focus on attachment therapy and relational theories, Samantha uses an integrative approach in treatment, focusing on a variety of modalities to meet each individual’s needs. Her clinical approach leverages her specialized training in Clinical Hypnosis, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent-Child Care (PC-CARE), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Play Therapy, Expressive art therapies, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychological First Aid for disaster response, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
