Sawyer is originally from Washington State. He then moved on to Portland, Oregon, where he received his undergraduate degree in public health education, as well as exercise science, from Portland State University. After PSU, Sawyer went on to get his Doctorate in Physical Therapy through Chapman University in Southern California.
Throughout his time involved in physical therapy, Sawyer has treated a wide variety of patients, including patients in the ICU, various neurological conditions, the elderly, post surgical, and even professional athletes. This was done across multiple places including California, Idaho, Arizona, New York, and Italy. Through this he has gained an understanding how each individual is unique and therefore needs their treatment specially made just for them.
In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and traveling. He can even occasionally be found with a pair of binoculars out looking for birds.
