Outside of work, she enjoys being active with running, biking, hiking, yoga, trying to be a super mom to her 2 daughters who are very competitive at school participating in science Olympiad, spelling - geography bee, drama and outside school participating in the first ever girls’ den of Boy Scouts, swimming tournaments and volunteering.
Dr, Shalaka Taware has been practicing physical therapy for over 20 years. She received her bachelor’s in physical therapy BPT in 1999 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2007 from Russell Sage College, NY.
Throughout her career she has worked in different settings like orthopedic, neurological and sports injuries, pediatrics, traumatic brain injury, vestibular, work-related injuries as ergonomic analyst and Pelvic Health. Being a certified yoga instructor, her approach is very holistic and evidence based. She uses functional movement analysis for exact evaluation and treatment of problems.
