Shannon has many years of experience working with adolescents and adults with addictions and dual disorders.
Shannon uses her listening skills to understand what is best for her clients and will do whatever she can to support her clients as they journey toward a brighter future. She knew at a young age that she wanted to be a counselor, having experienced first-hand the effects of substance abuse in her own family. This has given her a strong foundation from which to be present to others. Her approach to therapy includes the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness.
Shannon likes to spend her free time reading, perusing book stores, spending time with dogs, and taking trips to the ocean. The ocean is her “happy place”, and she draws strength from accessing this happy place within.
