Hi there, I'm Susan!
I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California for over 22 years with a total of 26 years working in the mental health field. My experience lies in residential, private practice, and educational settings working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My treatment methods are tailored to each individual client's needs and include such modalities as Cognitive Behavioral, Solution focused, and Mindfulness therapy.
My approach
My focus in treatment is to create a warm and nurturing environment where my clients have a safe and supportive place to work on their goals and lead a more happy and fulfilling life. I believe in collaborating with my clients in order to create realistic and obtainable treatment goals in a supportive setting. My specialties are include depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, self harm, LGTBQ , and anger management. I also have experience in working with clients with Autism and Asperger's disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and intellectual development disorders. I look forward to working with you and am glad you have made the first step to live your best possible life and become the best version of yourself.
My focus
I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families. I have many years of experience working with adolescents and young adults. I have also have worked within the LGTBQ community.

I like to create a safe place for my clients to express themselves freely and offer evidence based practices to develop treatment goals.
My journey to therapy
Psychology has always fascinated me and the work I have done for over 20 years has brought me great joy. Seeing my clients change for the better is an amazing and satisfying experience.
