Getting to know Susan Vos-Dupree

With over three decades of dedicated experience in the field of mental health, I have experience with a wide range of personal issues. My career is defined by a commitment to treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—rather than merely managing symptoms. This perspective allows me to blend evidence-based psychotherapeutic modalities with subtle energy work, providing a unique, comprehensive approach to healing. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specializing in eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, trauma recovery, depression, and life transitions. I am proficient in mindfulness practices, ACT, DBT,Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic approaches, and trauma-informed care. I help clients tune into their body’s subtle sensations, aiding them in recognizing where emotions are stored physically. This somatic approach bridges the gap between traditional talk therapy and energetic shifts, ensuring that healing is not just mental but deeply embodied. My experience has taught me that true healing is a journey, not a linear path. My role is not to "fix" the client, but to hold up the lantern and create a safe, sacred space where the client can explore their own inner world.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My practice is largely strengths based, which means we will focus on all the aspects of your life that are going well, and how to expand on coping skills you have. In doing so, we willidentify the ones that need shifting.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My practice generally consists of individual teletherapy sessions in which we begin where you are psychologically. Those individuals who happen to live near my office can be seen in person either out side amongst the trees or in my office.
