Psychotherapist
NC
With over three decades of dedicated experience in the field of mental health, I have evolved from a traditional clinical social worker into a holistic practitioner specializing in the convergence of psychological science, and symbolic intuitive work. My career is defined by a commitment to treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—rather than merely managing symptoms. This experience allows me to blend evidence-based psychotherapeutic modalities with subtle energy work and, when invited by the client, the archetypal language of tarot, providing a unique, comprehensive approach to healing. My journey began 30 years ago with a solid foundation in traditional psychotherapy. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specializing in anxiety, trauma recovery, depression, and life transitions. I am proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic approaches, and trauma-informed care. However, over time, I recognized a limitation in purely cognitive or conversational therapy. Clients often understood their trauma or dysfunctional patterns intellectually, but struggle to release the energetic or somatic impact on their bodies. They felt "stuck." This insight drove my pursuit of training in energy psychology and subtle energy medicine, moving my practice into the realm of holistic wellness. I help clients tune into their body’s subtle sensations, aiding them in recognizing where emotions are stored physically. This somatic approach bridges the gap between traditional talk therapy and energetic shifts, ensuring that healing is not just mental but deeply embodied. My 30-year experience has taught me that true healing is a spiral journey, not a linear path. My role is not to "fix" the client, but to hold up the lantern and create a safe, sacred space where the client can explore their own inner world.

What should a new client know about working with you?

For the past decade, my focus has at times shifted toward energy therapy, which acknowledges that the human body has an energetic "life force" that can be connected with, to restore health and emotional balance. In recent years, I have integrated tarot card readings as a voluntary, adjunct tool within my practice. My approach to tarot is strictly psychological and archetypal, never predictive. Tarot imagery acts as a projective tool, similar to the Rorschach test. A client’s interpretation of a card often reveals unconscious beliefs, emotional blocks, or hidden resources.O
