Dr. Starkman is just amazing. Speaking with her released an insane amount of emotional stress and pressure that has accumulated in me due to my career and family situation. Not only did she help me see the underlying issues more clearly, but also to figure out the future course of my actions. I found her to be very attentive and kind in her approach, yet formidable. The atmosphere at her office is very comforting- it is very clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. I am very happy I found her.

We have all felt stuck at some point or other. We've all found ourselves in the same kind of situation, involved in the same kind of relationships over and over again. Yet, it is important to have options in life and to develop the ability to choose our response. I am Board Certified in both, Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis. For over 20 years, I have been helping people with problems ranging from anxiety, depression, and grief, to dissatisfying relationships, careers, and familial circumstances.
I practice psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and psychopharmacology. In addition to private practice, I am on the faculty at The Institute for Psychoanalytic Education, affiliated with NYU School of Medicine.
