I am a licensed therapist with ten years of experience working with adults. I have worked with various individuals experiencing many different mental health issues. I also have experience working with the active-duty military and veteran population. I am trained in Prolonged Exposure therapy for my clients with trauma, and I always use a client-centered approach.
I believe that therapy is most effective when it feels like a normal conversation. It is my job to make therapy sessions feel less intimidating. I accomplish this by being friendly and easy to talk to while striving to give you a feeling of control. Being open and honest will be important in therapy, so it is my goal to create an environment that feels realistic. I am always open to questions and feedback.
This is your process, and you set the pace. I enjoy challenging my clients to explore complex subject areas while still making sure they feel safe and unpressured. Confronting our emotions and painful memories can be difficult, and everyone accomplishes those tasks differently. I am passionate about finding the right approach that fits each individual.
