Vanessa is incredibly attentive and personable. She has an in depth knowledge of my injury and has made a creative plan that made a difference after just a few sessions! She's very accomodating to m schedule and overall, makes me look forward to coming to PT every week! I'd recommend Vanessa to anyone looking to come to Spear!

More about Vanessa Correia, PT
Vanessa earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. Prior to pursuing her DPT, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Catonsville, Maryland. Throughout her undergraduate career, she worked as a physical therapy aide which sparked her interest in the field as she witnessed how positive an impact physical therapy can have on an individual’s quality of life.
In her doctorate program, Vanessa completed clinical rotations in a variety of settings, gaining experience treating patients with orthopedic injuries in patients of all ages, athletes, patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions, and patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Vanessa is passionate about creating a collaborative, compassionate, and inclusive environment where she can work together with her patients to help them achieve their physical therapy goals. It is extremely important to her that every patient feels supported, respected, and comfortable expressing themselves every time they come to PT.
Despite loving her home state of Maryland, Vanessa has greatly enjoyed her time living across the river from New York City, taking advantage of the proximity to explore all the fun activities and delicious food the city has to offer. She also enjoys running, spending time with her loved ones (including her pet bunny named Henry), reading, spending time in nature, and cooking.

I can't brag about Vanessa enough. I initially found her through reviews/insurance. She has been the best find! I have been to PT two other times and she has been the best. Her professional and training always shine through. She's always open to trying new things with me. She also stays on top of my progress pushing me & expanding my plan. She's a ray of sunshine & I also enjoy my visits with her. The atmosphere she provides is very comfortable. I highly recommend her.

I have been in Physical Therapy many times before, but I have never worked with a therapist who was so attentive. Vannessa is a great communicative and is always checking in and modifying y exercises as needed. My chronic pain is a lot more bearable having her as part of my care team!

Vanessa has a great bedside manner and really helps ease you in to the sessions, while simultaneously being able to motivate and encouraging. I feel like I've seen considerable progress and improvement everytime I come in, and she helps manage my frustrations when exercises are difficult.

Since I started my physical therapy at the very first visit my lower back pain started to increase. I felt better every time I came to my appointments. The assessment was great and Vanessa helped me a lot through showing me and guiding me through my therapy.

What I came I could friendly walk pain left Knee. Vanessa professionlism with details my injury & mark exercises & stretches of my left knee really made by difference. Walking better in only 2 weeks. She's an exceptional physical therapist. Highly recommend her!

I always enjoy my time w Vanessa. She asks a lot of questions so she fully understands "where I'm at" in regards to my injury healing/pain level. She's easy to talk to and be vulnerable with and will always make sure I understand the "why" behind my exercises. A very encouraging and empathetic professional:)
