As a middle child, I was destined to become a therapist. Never as accomplished as my older brother, certainly not as coddled as my younger sister, I learned from an early age that in order to get the attention I craved, I had to create chaos. My misguided efforts allowed me to see how my behavior impacted others and shaped the dynamics of my family, and I have been fascinated by human behavior and cognitions ever since.
In these difficult times, it’s normal to feel inundated by our stressful environment. Maybe you’re looking for a healing, or motivation to realize your full potential. My passion is helping adolescents and adults realize healthy perceptions of themselves while developing resilient habits and lasting coping strategies.
Using a trauma-informed and evidence-based approach combining cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems theory, I educate all my clients on how behaviors, thoughts, and environment contribute to problems and collaboratively explore effective coping skills to independently manage these problems going forward.
I am multiculturally competent and enthusiastically strive to learn about the unique perspective that every client brings to the therapeutic relationship. However, the competencies I most proudly exude are warmth, relatability, and humor in every therapy session.
