More about Yvonne Venger, LCSW
For over 20 years, I have provided psychotherapy to a myriad of populations with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational conflicts, chronic illness, and caregiver stress. Most recently, I have been focusing on two groups: young adults and familial caregivers. Both groups are in transition and often uncertain about how to navigate next steps or cope with their situations.
Today's young people face a reality very different from that of their parents and previous generations-often much more stressful and scary. Caregiver Stress Syndrome is real and frequently overlooked. Feelings of burnout, exhaustion, and neglect of their own physical and mental health are common among familial caregivers.
I also work with individuals who do not fit into these groups, as well as with couples seeking to rebuild their relationships.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from Yeshiva University, a Bachelor's degree from Barnard College at Columbia University, and a Master's in Educational Technology from Columbia University's Teachers College. Additionally, I completed a fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
