Dr. Amanda Brown has been involved in dentistry for longer than she can remember! The daughter of founder Dr. Douglas Herbert, Dr. Brown joined the practice in 1998 after graduating from the Medical College of Virginia. She is a lifelong native of Loudoun County.
Dr. Brown has accomplished extensive advance education and hands on training in orthodontic and restorative dentistry. She strongly believes the functional, structural and esthetic components of a smile contribute to optimal patient well-being. Dr. Brown is a member of several organizations including the American Orthodontic Society, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Brown trains at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona and is an active member of the Greater Loudoun Study Club. She has also invested many hours of continuing education in laser dentistry at the World Clinical Laser Institute. The laser improves accuracy of procedures while helping to eliminate pain and recovery time. Dr. Brown prides herself in being extremely gentle and provides care for children of the practice.
Dr. Brown and her husband live in Purcellville with their sons and border collies. In addition to her family and professional schedule, Dr. Brown enjoys hiking, skiing, baking and maintains an extensive vegetable garden.
