About Dr. Jailan Abdelrazek

Dr. Jailan Abdelrazek graduated with honors in 1994 from Alexandria University, Egypt, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She then completed a one-year internship in general dentistry at Alexandria University. Following this, she attended a two-year residency program in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, where she received extensive training and gained experience in advanced dental procedures such as endodontic treatment, periodontal surgery, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Abdelrazek's philosophy emphasizes preventative dental care to promote good oral health today and for the future. She believes it is far better to prevent diseases than to treat them after they occur. She engages each patient in the co-discovery and understanding of their oral health, allowing for informed choices while providing comprehensive, quality care using advanced dental techniques in a friendly, relaxed, and pain-free environment.
Her professional affiliations include Associate Fellowship Certification from the World Clinical Laser Institute. She is one of a select few dentists in this area trained in the state-of-the-art technique of laser dentistry. Dr. Abdelrazek is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and Seattle Study Club. She is also Invisalign certified for teeth straightening.
Please know that dental evaluations and emergencies are usually scheduled within 24 to 48 business hours. New patients are scheduled before 4 pm, with some exceptions.

Ive been to a number of dentist in the last several years. Never happy due to poor personal engagement, over selling, unclear insurance claims and service (unexpected and different dentist than the primary when doing fillings etc.). Dr. Abdelrazek, and her staff were excellent, communicative and knowledgeable. The best by FAR.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Abdelrazek and her team. I was looking for a dentist in the area and cracked a tooth from grinding my teeth (because, 2020) and they got me in right away. They made sure I was covered and couldn't have been clearer about cost for what needed to be done. I had never had a crown done before and was pretty nervous. They couldn't have made it easier or more pleasant. So lovely, warm and accommodating. The office is super clean as well. Highly recommend!

Dr. Abdelrazek and the team members at Potomac Family Dentistry are absolutely amazing! Most recently, I found myself in the middle of a dental emergency where I was in sever pain. I called the office to schedule an appointment and Tina insisted that I come in the same day. I later found out that I needed a root canal due to an infection and had I waited, the pain would have only worsened. I am forever grateful to be a patient at this practice as every staff member cares about the well being of their patients.

I've been to many dentist offices over the years and Dr. Jailan Abdelrazek is my absolute favorite. They really know what they are doing and are so pleasant. The staff is always smiling, comfortable atmosphere and very good dental work. I had MANY fillings done and they also closed a gap at the front of my teeth while working on the filings - it looks so good! I highly recommend this Dentist - try them out, you wont regret it!
