Dr. Azadeh Motekallem (Dr. Azi) is originally from Iran. She moved to the States with her family at the age of 10. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minor in Chemistry from University of Dayton. Dr. Azi graduated from Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine in 2007. She continued her dental training by completing a General Practice Residency program in a Level 1 Trauma Center in Miami Valley Hospital back in her home town of Dayton, Ohio.
Shortly after graduating from her GPR program, Dr. Azi moved to Houston. Since then, She has completed numerous hours of advanced continuing dental education in pediatrics, cosmetic, restorative, and sedation dentistry. She has been practicing general dentistry and sedation dentistry since 2008 in the Houston Area.
Dr. Azi believes in minimally invasive dentistry where the focus is on preventing dental disease, promoting the oral health and maintenance of the patient’s dentition. She believes in involving the patient in treatment planning by informing and educating patients and patients' guardians.
Dr. Azi is currently residing in Bellaire, with her husband Dr. Shervin Assassi and son Ryan. Both Dr. Azi and her husband believe in giving back to the community. They enjoy, travelling, Spending time with family and friends and trying to keep up with their toddler's active and busy life!

Our family is new to Houston and I needed to find a dentist that could see my son quickly as it was a school holiday. We were fit right in for a cleaning. It turned out my son had a very tricky cavity and Dr. Azi took care of it right away. Great energy and bedside manner from the whole staff. Highly recommend!

My son loved Dr. Azi, he is usually scared of any Dr. but he loved Dr. Azi so much he did not want to leave. We will def. keep coming in with her.
