This was a last minute appointment that I set online earlier in the week so I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in. So happy I made the appointment. The staff is excellent! The doctor actually sat down and explained everything to me, so when I walked out of the consultation I had absolutely no questions. I decided to with Austin Family Orthodontics for my braces. The receptionist is fabulous, very sweet lady.

Everyone in the office was very personable. I don't remember her name, but the assistant that worked with my daughter had a great personality, was fun to talk to and explained everything to my daughter very well.

A native Texan, Dr. Brian J. Peters was born and raised in Houston. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biology. He then attended the prestigious Ivy League Columbia School of Dental Medicine in New York where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Peters spent three years as a dentist in the United States Army with assignments in South Carolina, South Korea, and Louisiana. After serving his country, Dr. Peters studied orthodontics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York and received a certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Peters is now an orthodontist in Austin and limits his practice for children’s orthodontic, teen orthodontic and adult orthodontic treatments.
He is an Invisalign certified provider and stays current in all of the latest orthodontic techniques. His affiliations include the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Peters is an Austin orthodontist who cherishes the ability to provide people with healthy and beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime.

My daughter enjoyed the visit. Although I used ZocDoc to fill out insurance and personal information because someone else was taking my daughter to the visit. The office stated they didn't get any of that paper work and I had to refill out for her and email to the office.

Love the staff and doctors at Austin Family Orthodontics. The staff is very patient with my children. One of my kids has special needs and they are especially patient with him. My son asks a lot of questions and they are always willing to answers any questions he has. I don't ever feel like our visits are rushed like some doctor's offices.

Staff is always accomodating and friendly. Dr's are always thorough and give reasonable advise. I highly recommend AFO to any of my friends or co-workers when asking for an orthodontist.
