Dr. Chetan Parikh received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, an Ivy League school, in 2001. Dr. Parikh graduated with second class rank and a GPA of 3.91. Prior to receiving his DMD, Dr. Parikh practiced dentistry in India, where he received both his Master of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the largest and most prestigious dental school, Government Dental College and Hospital, in Bombay, India.
Because of his extensive training as an oral medicine specialist, Dr. Parikh doesn’t just look at your teeth; he looks for the whole picture and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. With his holistic approach, Dr. Parikh can help detect systemic diseases such as pemphigus, a serious skin disease, lupus, diabetes, and many others by evaluating the mouth for any signs and symptoms. This early detection can help you get the medical treatment you need earlier on to avoid any long-lasting, harmful effects.
Since establishing his practice in 2005, Dr. Parikh has been providing exceptional dental care to families in Rockville, MD and the surrounding areas. In order to continue offering high-quality dental treatment to our patients, Dr. Parikh takes about 250 hours of continuing education classes each year, including classes on dental sleep apnea, dental implants, and orthodontics.
