Appointment got canceled, 5 minutes before the appointment. Waste of cab fare :(
Reason being- they do NOT accept community plan members.
Additionally- even if they did, they do NOT conduct a cleaning in the first appointment as in the case of a new patient.

The woman at the front desk was SO RUDE. Before I even said anything she starting being rude. I ended up leaving because I didn't have my x-rays (no one told me to bring x-rays) but now I'll just go somewhere else that respect/value their clients.

I was seen quickly, presumably because my appointment was very early in the morning. However, I was very displeased with the way that I was treated here. The front desk staff was rude and entirely unprofessional, calling out my phone number and other personal information rather than asking me to approach her desk. She pointed vaguely in the direction of a room rather than escorting me to the exam room. Dr. Kaplan was chewing gum the entire time he was examining my teeth, he answered his phone in midst of my exam (and did not change his gloves before sticking his hands back in my face), and he did not tell me what he was doing. I was then left alone for 15 minutes, then x-rayed for 20 minutes (I kid you not!). The x-ray tech seemed incompetent. She did not tell me what she was doing, and as I mentioned, it took a ridiculously long time. I will not be going back.

It was my best dental experience in NYC thus far as I have had some past nightmares. The staff were very friendly but somewhat frazzled that was a little bit concerning.
