Dr. Yoon admits that he finds the most enjoyable and memorable times are when he is with his family doing the everyday routines and turning them into new surprises and adventures. Being from NYC, Dr. Yoon appreciates meeting new and different people and striking conversations and listening to their stories. He also enjoys trying his hand in cooking, following his NY sports team and attempting to work out and play sports when he can!

I had to get a deep clean today, under the gum line. I've had this done in the past with a different dentist and it was very painful. I found Dr. Yoon's office through ZOCDOC. The hygienist was extremely gentle. Her process uses a numbing agent without needles! I've never been so relaxed in my life. I look forward to getting my teeth taken care of now! I also saw Dr.Yoon today to finish prepping my tooth for my crown. He is so focused on what he is working on and making sure I was comfortable! I LOVE DR.YOON AND HIS STAFF! Anxiety is no longer a problem.

I haven't been this relaxed in a dentist chair ever! He notices everything such as if I move or squint my eyes, He always ask if I'm ok, or need to rest. I was referred to Dr. Yoon by a neighborhood friend because I needed a second opinion regarding my tooth. Long story short, I was passed around from my general dentist to a local endodontist group and then to an oral surgery group.
One night I suddenly experienced a throbbing pain in my lower right back tooth. Made an emergency appointment to see my general dentist. He replaced a filing, but left it too high. I was still experiencing pain and went back to have the filing ground down and was prescribed antibiotics, apparently I had an infection around that tooth area. I was told if pain persisted, that I needed a root canal and was referred to a local endodontist group. After examination by the endodontist group, my tooth had a deep crack, couldn’t be saved and needed to be taken out. I was referred to an oral surgeon. At this point I needed someone who had the expertise to do all three to give me a second opinion.
I spoke to Dr. Yoon over the phone, told him about my situation and what happened. He was every friendly over the phone, taking his time to listen my case, asking detailed questions, providing his opinion and what my options were. His belief was, save the tooth if it can be saved. Try to heal it because once the tooth is taken out, it’s out, nothing you can do after that. But if the tooth can be saved, you still have your natural tooth. If after attempting to save it, it doesn’t heal, the tooth can always be taken out.
I decided to make an office visit and Dr. Yoon was able find a time slot for me the next day since he knew I was still in pain. Before he started any examination, he again took time to discuss the details and what his next steps were. He took an x-ray and examined the pain area. After his examination and reviewing the x-ray, he said my tooth borderline, between extraction or root canal. But in his opinion he thought it was worth saving. But he also said if I didn’t want to go through the ordeal of having a root canal and a crown and would rather have the tooth taken out, that’s another option as well. He was never pushy in which option to take. He gave his recommendation on what he thought was best for me in the long term. I asked additional questions about each option and he took his time answering each of them in detail. We also discussed pricing about each option and he was clear and honest about the cost of each option. I choose to save the tooth by having a root canal and a crown. People hear root canal and I always see their face cringe with agony. But I have to say during the whole process I never felt any pain and it was as if I was having my teeth cleaned. After several visits to heal the infection, perform the root canal, get fitted for the crown and replace a few fillings, my teeth feel great and have no pain.
I’m great that I chose to get the second opinion with Dr. Yoon. He’s one of those rare dentists who do seem to care about the health of his patients and not in it just to make money. I will be leaving my general dentist and become a regular patient of Dr. Yoon.

Dr. Yoon is wonderful. I had a a front crown removed, and he was gentle, kind, efficient, and precise. I have a temporary crown for now until the permanent one comes in, and I can't believe how close he was able to make it look to my natural tooth! I recommend Dr. Yoon heartily!

I had one of the best dental experiences of my life with Dr. Yoon this morning -- he refilled two old fillings in my mouth, and I didn't feel a smidge of pain from beginning to end! When I felt some sensitivity, I raised my hand, and he addressed the issue before it became painful. I've been impressed with Dr. Yoon's professionalism and bedside manner at my regular cleanings and checkups, but today was my first real dental work since he took over Dr. Schneider's practice. Dr. Yoon is thoughtful and considerate, highly communicative throughout his procedures, and he makes you feel like he genuinely cares about not only the work he's doing but about YOU personally. I truly can't say enough about Dr. Yoon and his practice. I recommend Dr. Yoon and his team without reservation.

Dr. Yoon is not only a compassionate dentist, he takes the time to explain everything before he does it. He doesn't rush anything, and throughout the visit he asks if you're doing okay. Dr. Yoon thoroughly examined the x-rays of my bothersome tooth and conducted an oral examination as well. By that I mean that he not only asked me questions, but also actually looked at the inside of my mouth and manipulated the troublesome tooth to better assess its condition. At the conclusion, he offered me sound advice on how to proceed, He did not mince any words, His guidance was quite straightforward. He also offered an observation about my spiritual health and its impact on the tooth problem I was encountering. In all it was a most satisfying visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Yoon to anyone else. He is well educated, highly qualified, and a very nice person to boot.

Dr. Yoon carefully analyzed and explained the options before me for future treatment, including referral to a periodontist. Before I left today, Dr. Yoon asked me if I needed anything else from him. When I mentioned an overbite that had been bugging me (and causing some pain), he had me sit back down and proceeded to do "touch-up" work on several teeth. As a result the overbite is gone. This excellent dentist is also a warm and engaging person who takes delight in conversing with his patients. I could not be more pleased -- and grateful....
