Dr. Lam completed his dental education at Columbia University in New York. From there, he proceeded to Brooklyn, NY where he completed a General Practice Residency at New York Methodist Hospital. His tour of New York continued as he subsequently completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, Bronx, NY. For about five years Dr. Lam would call Westchester, NY home. However, work would take him across the Hudson River.
Bypassing the remaining boroughs of Queens and Staten Island, Dr. Lam headed to New Jersey where for the past several years, he has worked in private practice. Today, Dr. Lam is a member of a very select group of internationally board-certified pediatric dentists. Dr. Lam is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as a board-certified Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Additionally, Dr. Lam holds hospital staff privileges at JFK Memorial Hospital and the Atlantic Health Network at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lam also maintains active membership with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA).
Contrary to popular belief, Dr. Lam does find time to enjoy himself outside of his work and studies! As a native “Canuck”, Dr. Lam has retained an avid love for the game of hockey and tries to get on the ice to play recreational hockey whenever possible. (NOTE: Dr. Lam ALWAYS wears a protective mouthguard when playing hockey!) An amateur jazz and classical pianist and an avid lover of jazz music, Dr. Lam often jumps at the opportunity to attend the many great jazz and classical music venues in New York/New Jersey area.

Both of my children have been seeing Dr. Lam since they were toddlers. Dr. Lam makes them extremely calm and comfortable. I am glad to report that they do not fear the dentist!
