Dr.Patel is wonderful. I've had bad experiences before but she completely changed my view . She is very professional and thorough. She took the time to answer all of my questions and addressed all concerns. Her office uses the latest in technology which is great and helps the patient be more involved in viewing what's going on.

Dr. Patel would like to introduce the opening of her Orofacial Medicine Practice located at 131 East 38th St., NY, NY. Her expertise is in the management of oral mucosal disease, oral manifestations of systemic dermatological, rheumatological, gastrointestinal disease, salivary gland/neurosensory disorders of the tongue and immunological mucocutaneous conditions affecting the oral cavity. She manages TMJ disorders, as well as muscular, head and orofacial pain. She is experienced in general dentistry in managing fearful, medically complex adult, geriatric and pediatric populations. Dr. Dharti Patel grew up in the dental profession observing and volunteering at a dental practice from the age of 8. Her love of science and medicine combined with her artistic abilities allowed her to pursue a career in healing and rehabilitating people with oral and dental diseases.
As a Dean’s Merit Scholar she received her DMD in 2002 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where the seed for her passion in oral medicine was first planted. She began pursuit of her interests as one of a few selected honor’s students at Penn where she learned first hand how to manage oral disease and saw the impact of HIV/AIDS on oral health. Completed her Fellowship in Oral Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in 2004, serving as Chief Resident of the Dental Division at the University Hospital, joining the faculty at the New Jersey Dental School as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Division of Oral Medicine.
