He was able to see me and treat me for my symptoms. I could tell that he genuinely cared for and listened to me and my throbbing tooth pain. With x-rays he explained to me that I had a tooth infection and how it’s causing the pain I was experiencing.”

About Dr. Charles Marks

It is an honor to have the opportunity to deliver dental care, from the simplest checkup to advanced procedures, to the patients in our practice. Using advanced dental technology, this can be achieved with little or no discomfort. Knowing I can make a difference in improving the quality of another person's life gives me great satisfaction every day I come to work. I have enjoyed practicing high-quality dentistry since 1984 and look forward to practicing for many more years to come.
It is because of my education that I am able to provide my patients with the best care and attention they deserve. I graduated from New York University College of Dentistry, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1984. I have also completed post-graduate training in molar endodontics, periodontal surgery, and dental implants.
I find all aspects of dentistry interesting and have continued to educate myself in specialty fields in order to always deliver fully comprehensive treatments, utilizing the most current and successful techniques available. I have taken continuing education courses in prosthodontics and all phases of cosmetic dentistry and am a member of several professional organizations that provide me with opportunities for continuing education, including the:

Outside the office, I enjoy listening to music and playing my guitar. I also enjoy playing tennis and skiing.

I was expecting so much more out of my initial visit. The office and room is smaller than expected, the equipment looks a little dated. Usually a dental hygientist would clean before the dentist evaluate. However, Dr. Marks did my cleaning. It felt rushed. He was going in and out of the room and left me for a while to check with insurance at one point on a discussion that I didn't think we were done having. I wasn't offered eye protection for the xray or for the cleaning. Water was splashed on my face and eye which was acknlowlege but he didn't do anything about it. I wasn't given instruction on what to do after he "cleaned" my teeth. I wasnt used to the equpipment. I haven't even rinsed before I was being pushed for something else. I was also never flossed. I brought this up to one of the assistant and she asked if I wanted to do it myself.
I felt like Dr. Marks didnt really listen to me or got to know me or what I wanted. He was discussing things with me while "cleaning" my teeth. I couldn't do much talking and it was uncomfortable to do so with all the equipment in my mouth.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to go through with having anything additional done on my first visit. I told him also had another appointment to go to right afterward. He said it would take a few minutes and that it would save me the trouble. I had not agreed to proceed with the additional out of pocket cost and I was under the impression I could decide later. That wasn't the case.

Felt like the services being provided weren’t necessary and wasn’t always told what and why something was being done. Had to ask about costs for certain things vs. being told if something was going to be out of pocket. Took 2 hours for the appointment and not the friendliest staff

Incredible dentist with an incredible team of dentists and dental hygienists. I haven't been to the dentist in some time and needed a bit of work done. I had three visits in two weeks, was worked on by four different doctors and every one of them was kind, courteous, patient, and really made me feel comfortable through what could have been a stressful set of procedures. Would HIGHLY recommend!!

At first I wasn’t impressed because I was expecting state of the art setup ??. However, the service is what mattered. The Dental Hygienist that did my cleaning was noting short of amazing. She explained everything she was doing and why and was very attentive and professional throughout the cleaning process. I’ve never had my teeth cleaned that way before for the 15 years I’ve been in this country. I’m grateful for all the insightful information she shared today.
Dr. Marks was awesome as well. From what I’ve observed, he is a perfectionist when it comes to his craft. I appreciate the time he took the get all that I needed to get done in one day. What he did today for me usually takes three appointments ??, no joke. I spent approximately 7 hours getting work done. It was worth the time.
I appreciate the conversation we had.

I was experiencing severe pain, and came to Dr. Marks in a hurry after seeing two dentists previously, both of whom were highly rated yet clearly less caring for patients or determined to solve the issue at hand. While the other dentists simply told me nothing looked wrong in x-ray and pain will eventually go away, Dr. Marks is a genius in the field, and after a lot of attention given to me as a patient, was able to detect the issue and provide a solution. I am forever grateful to Dr. Marks for saving me and making room for me on such short notice. His team, the office staff, was equally gracious. Very timely, no waiting lag. Overall, best and most intuitive dentist in the city.

My Dentist retired so I came to Dr. Marks, who my wife was going to for many years. I've been a patient now for a year or so and am very pleased. Dr. Marks, besides being a great dentist, is a good listener and explains everything. His staff is always nice and very professional. A good experience all around.
