Dr. Hanan decided to pursue the field of Dentistry at age 15. At age 17 she entered a seven-year program at New York University College of Dentistry that admits students to both undergraduate studies and dental school. Upon completing her undergraduate degree in three years, Dr. Hanan immediately entered NYU College of Dentistry, where she received her dental degree and then studied for two more years to receive her orthodontic specialty degree. In practice since 1989, Dr. Hanan is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Hanan has been a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society since 1989 and was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Dr. Alexander and Sylvia Goldenberg Award. Dr. Hanan has lectured internationally through the American Austrian Foundation. In 2011 The Dental Lifeline Networks and New York State Dental foundation recognized Dr. Hanan for providing donated dental services to the underserved.
It is Dr. Hanan’s goal to give patients the highest quality of care, and she believes in customizing treatment to each individual’s needs. Although Dr. Hanan believes in early treatment when necessary, she prefers to time treatment so that patients do not need to wear their appliances longer than necessary. Dr. Hanan respects her patients’ time and almost never keeps her patients waiting.
Dr. Hanan is a proud mother and wife. She and her husband have three beautiful children. Together they enjoy bike riding, skiing and donating their time to various local charities in the New York City area.
We are especially interested in making all of our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Dr. Hanan’s orthodontic staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars. We provide energetic, caring and fun-loving service to each patient and are proud to be a part of the New York City community.
