Dr. Rostami and her team were excellent. The office was clean and presentable and I was seen almost immediately for my consultation. I was given a straightforward evaluation and never felt pressured to do the procedure hastily. My insurance benefits were easily explained to me and my actual procedure was just as easy. I was prepped with everything I needed beforehand, given easy instructions for post-procedure care and the follow up was speedy. Everybody was very nice and professional and this procedure that I dreaded getting done turned out to be just fine!

Dr. Rostami was born in California and grew up in Richmond, VA. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a double major in Biology and Chemistry, and was named to the Dean’s list and Golden Key International Honor Society. She earned her D.D.S from Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
While obtaining her doctorate, Dr. Rostami conducted research that earned her national recognition presenting for International Association of Dental Research. She also achieved the Oral Medicine and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery award for achievements in the field of oral pathology and oral & maxillofacial surgery. Upon graduation in 2010, she started her post-graduate residency training at the highly renowned department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University.
During her surgical residency, Dr. Rostami continued her research efforts leading to publication as well as presentations at both the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral & maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Rostami has also participated in numerous Mission of Mercy Projects serving the under privileged communities throughout Virginia. Dr. Rostami Maintains certification in Basic Life Support, as well as advanced training in Cardiac Life Support. She maintains her advanced surgical skills and knowledge through specialty training courses throughout the nation.

I went in for wisdom teeth consultation, she didn't confident in her tone in how the surgery will go, she didn't go through the procedure information properly. I had a much better time with a different surgeon that provided the right information for me to make a proper judgement on how I want to move forward with the procedure.
The quote I got was also much higher than the doctor I got the surgery with ~ it was a pretty big difference. I am not sure if they didn't go through my insurance rates properly or the prices are just higher.

Performed billable services without prior consent even after I wrote on the new patient form that my doctor had just done X rays two days before. The whole reason I came to the oral surgeon was because my dentist recommended it and of course they did Xrays. Insurance pays for a set a plan year, not a set a day. Nice office, but likely from overbilling patients. I'm still getting the surgery there because I think they have the most up to date place.
