Dr. Carotenuto received his dental degree from New York University School of Dental Medicine in 1980, and completed a residency in general dentistry at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in East Orange, New Jersey. Dr. Carotenuto taught surgery residents at Lincoln Hospital a level one trauma center in the South Bronx, NY He has been in private practice in Union County for over twenty years.
Dr. Carotenuto is an active member of organized dentistry. He is well respected among his peers and has been honored to serve as President of the Union County Dental Society, a Trustee on the New Jersey State Dental Association for many years and is currently an Alternate Delegate to the American Dental Association on the national level.
Dr. Carotenuto is a caring member of the community. He has contributed hundreds of hours of charity care for trauma patients in Union County. He has participated with Donated Dental Services for many years, an organization which provides free care to indigent and disabled individuals. He also provides services at markedly reduced fees for the Union County Senior Citizen Council’s neediest members.
