This is a really convenient office location with a very nice staff. X-rays were simple and fast, the staff was very professional and cleaning was quick.
The only issue is with how the doctor is listed on the site. There are 3 dentists at the practice and they each work set days, so if you want a particular one make sure to call them directly and make that clear.

Dr. Cat was wonderful! Before my procedure she took time to explain exactly what she was going to do and answer any questions that I had. She definitely put me at ease.
I also enjoyed speaking with her staff. The entire office was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Dr. Cat to anyone looking for a dentist in the Downtown DC area!

In my 66 years I've had many dentists and I can safely say that Dr. Catanano is one of the best professionals that I have ever experienced. She completed the insertion of my implant, abutment and crown, explaining each of the steps, doing so in a gentle yet efficient manner, finishing in one hour. I am fortunate to have found her.

Dr. Catanzano has a great bedside manner and is a fabulous dentist. She completed two difficult crowns for me and also fixed a chipped front tooth. Going to the dentist is stressful, but this office staff is so helpful and breaks everything down relating to the financials in an easy to understand way. The are great about putting together payment plans and explaining all the different options available. This is the best dentist office I've ever found. I've never had an issue, or left this office upset.

The accuracy was not actually accurate, which was extremely frustrating. Then when I was calling to consult her she would not take the calls. Then my dentist I've gone to my entire life tried to reach her to discuss and she did not pickup the calls. I've never had so many issues at the dentist.

They are always fast, and good. Makes me not dread booking my next appointment.
The only issue this time is that my insurance changed from the last time I was in. I changed it when booking through ZocDoc, but when I checked in they didn't ask me about it (I feel like I normally get the question of "has your address or insurance changed"). I should have spoken up about it when I came in, but there was only one guy at the front who looked busy. I did mention it to the technician who checked the price of the fluoride treatment I got, and she was basing it on the insurance I told her. I couldn't pay when I got to the front, because they didn't have my insurance plan in the system yet - so I'll have to pay later. Oh well - now they know.

I've had a lot of dental work done with Dr. Catanzano in the past year, and I can't recommend her highly enough. She knows what she's doing and does an efficient, pain-free job. If you have insurance and you're looking to invest in getting your teeth in good condition, Dr. Catanzano is as good an option as any.

My visit was deeply problematic -- I will never use this office (United Dental Clinic) again and neither should you. I had a ordinary check up in early June during which this office took x-rays. I had my ordinary six month check up in late November during which I was informed I had 3 cavities. While preparing for the fillings, the dentist informed me that the my x-ray from June definitely showed three cavities. When I asked why I wasn't informed about the cavities in June when the x-ray was taken, the dentist declined to answer my question and said we should just "focus on the future." How awful!

I had two dentist appointments with Dr. Catanzano. I found her to be adept and proficient, but was less thrilled with her staff. I have had minimal dental issues my entire life. At Dr. Catanzano's office, the assistants who cleaned my teeth were rude and told me that I needed how to learn how to use a toothbrush (I brush several times a day and have white teeth).
Worst of all, a receptionist cancelled my most recent appointment because I did not respond to their confirmation call (despite the message not mentioning that the appointment would be canceled unless I called back). When I called to confirm that my appointment was cancelled because of my negligence, the same receptionist said that the appointment would have been cancelled anyhow because of a "scheduling conflict." So, even though he initially said that it was my fault that the appointment was cancelled, that turned out to not be true.
Long story short, my direct experiences with Dr. Catanzano were positive and I felt like she was completely equipped to examine my teeth. My experiences with the office writ large was less positive, and for that reason, I plan to switch practitioners.

The doctor spent very little time with me and the hygenist was rough on my teeth. When I left, they wanted me to pay for the full amount of my copay for my NEXT appointment in order to keep the appointment!?! Not sure what kind of business practice this is-but I don't plan on going back.

This office was great. Very clean and friendly. Equipment was all up-to-date and looked new. Every person I talked with was very personable.
Only issue was that the office didn't recieve my ZocDoc appointment, but they were able to fit me in. Call ahead to confirm, because I guess ZocDoc's "confirmation" doesn't really mean much.

I only saw her for a few minutes for a routine examination but the hygienist who did most of the work was extremely friendly and considerate about how was I feeling. The procedure took a bit longer than expected and the office kept rescheduling but the experience itself made up for it. The office and equipment are very modern, the staff friendly and professional (especially about financial matters), and the location very convenient.

Nina, my hygienist, was wonderful. Even though I hadn't been to the dentist in years, the cleaning was extremely gentle and quick. I saw Dr. Chung, who was very thorough and nice. I wish I didn't have so many cavities, but I'm please to be in the hands of such a good team.

I thought she was very good. The office is clean and up to date. My only complaint would be Ben (The guy who tells you how much the procedure will cost). He didnt know what he was talking about and was a bit too pushy. Also, after he left the room, the dental assistant had to correct a bunch of the stuff he said cause it wasnt true.
