Dr. Mody took the time to examine my tooth and concluded that the main part of the tooth was still intact, so I didn't need any work done.
He then answered a bunch of questions I had about my next cleaning, my TMJ, and two other teeth that were bothering me off and on.

San Jose dentist, Dr. Karan Mody, grew up in Corona, California. After years of watching his father work in their community as a dentist, Dr. Mody was inspired to follow in his footsteps and pursued a doctorate degree in dentistry at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco.
After searching around the Bay Area for the ideal location to start his dental practice, Dr. Mody found everything he was looking for in the Rosegarden neighborhood of San Jose. He is thrilled to continue on the legacies of Dr. Koberlein and Dr. Tesfamichael at Bascom Family Dental.
Dr. Mody now resides in Campbell with his wife of six years, Tiffany. Their two-year-old, Rowan, is a proud big brother to Bryn, who was born Feb 2019. Outside of the office, Dr. Mody enjoys being outdoors, playing board games, and discovering new places to eat all over San Jose and the greater the Bay Area.

Dr Mody and his staff are first rate! They are professional and courteous and they do a great job. Everyone at the office is so friendly and they make you feel welcome from the moment you step in the door. I have personally recommended this office to many of my family members and friends. I've been here 3 times now and it's all been very good. I had an extraction today and I literally felt no pain during the numbing process and I'm terrified of needles. In addition, the extraction happened in less than 30 minutes. On top of that almost 10 hours later I have ZERO pain. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. (Let us hope I wake up tomorrow like this too).

I walked in and was greeted immediately by the receptionist.
Everything about the appointment was great.
They were on time and extremely engaging. The hygienist was helpful and walked me through everything she wanted me to know about my teeth. Mr. Mody was also as diligent in informing me about options for cosmetic changes and other things I inquired about.

I have not been going to Dr. Mody for very long. I changed due to insurance I have with a new job, and was referred to him by my employer. Best referral, and continues to be a positive change. I was put in an unfortunate position needing dental implants & crowns right away, and unsure of how to proceed. Well let me say that Dr. Mody takes time to inform, and Cindy at the helm of the office is a happy, truly knowledgable soul who has made this procedure easier to understand, and is willing to take the time to explain how to have the best outcome. In fact everyone I have come in contact with in the office (Dr. Mody, Tami, and Jennifer) is so friendly, I felt so comfortable from the very beginning, like I've been there forever. Thank you!

There is a reason why they are called Bascom Family... they treat you like family. Never have a ever felt so welcomed, comforted at a dental office until now!!! Cindy is like the mama bear that soothes your fears and comforts you on the phone before you get there. Then the assistants are calm and thorough so help you through the process... Then it's Dr. Mody... he's just awesome! I couldn't have asked for a better place to get my teeth healthy and I can actually say I look forward to see them!

If you want an affordable, honest and friendly dentist, this is the place. No need to look any further. All the staff are nice and they are knowledgeable about insurances. I had a very bad experience with another local dentist and coming here has been a breath of fresh air!

Put in the extra time to take a few photos during the filling process and then show them to explain what he was doing, since my cavity wasn't showing up on the x-ray, but he could see with the trained eye.
Great experience, great team that remembers your name, family, and the like.

The people in this office are so chill and friendly! Never thought I'd miss my dentist and dental office staff.
Cindy is always on top of scheduling and insurance stuff - she even proactively (without me asking) got me extra coverage by calling the insurance company and checking if a particular service would get extra coverage under a different category!
Dr. Mody and his dental assistants are amazing, too. They remember minuscule details about me and we pick up our discussions from 6 months ago! They're also obviously skilled and professional in their dental work - they're patient, clean, and considerate. Nobody here has ever been pushy or tried to upsell me on anything.
