The most important thing Dr. Keith Schmidt has learned in his 20 plus years of practice is to get to know the person before the teeth. He accomplishes this through his initial appointment which begins with an interview with the patient to determine their individual desires and concerns before any instrument is picked up. Building trust and rapport is key to any successful relationship. Once achieved following it up with the highest quality dentistry possible is second nature.
Dr. Schmidt has achieved his goals through countless hours of continuing education. This has earned him the Fellowship Award in the Academy of General Dentistry in which he maintains a membership.
Dr. Keith Schmidt D.D.S. and wife at an Ohio State University gameDr. Schmidt’s background is as a born and raised Ohioan. He attended Miami University where he achieved a Bachelors of Science Degree. He then attended Ohio State University, College Dentistry where he received his D. D. S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery). He then moved to Maryland where he completed a one year graduate program at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He continues at the University as an associate professor, where he teaches one day a week.
Outside the office, Dr. Schmidt enjoys spending family time with his wife, Debbie, three daughters – Rachel, Kimberly, and Alexandria, and two dachshunds – Tucker and Tessa. His leisure activities include golf, woodworking, staying fit, and cheering on all things Buckeye!
