About Dr. David Kim
Dr. David Kim is an ambitious and personable general dentist, who loves his work and really enjoys building relationships with his patients. He believes that communication and comfort are essential and really treats all his patients like his own family.
Dr. Kim earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he developed a keen interest in IMPLANT DENTISTRY. He continued his dental training by attending Einstein Medical Center’s General Practice Residency. There he gained extensive training in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, rotary endodontics (root canals), and COSMETIC DENTISTRY.
He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA) the Howard County Dental Association (HCDA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

I stumbled across Dr. Kim while searching for a dentist near me. I walked in expecting the usual experience you get at most dental offices. His attention to detail and commitment to perfection immediately stood out.
I’ve been seeing another dentist not far from me, but Dr. Kim was able to point out several issues that had been overlooked. He took the time to walk me through my X-rays, explain exactly what he was seeing, and help me understand what was actually happening with my teeth. It reminded me that while we all love having bright, white smiles, the real story is often in the X-rays and exams—things we don’t always pay attention to.
Meeting him made me think about how we treat our cars: when the engine light comes on, we go straight to a mechanic. Our teeth deserve that same level of care—getting the X-rays, going through a thorough exam, understanding things tooth by tooth, and having someone who educates you along the way. That’s exactly what Dr. Kim provided.

The three things that stood out for me were:
1. they admitted me in early (15 minutes?) and started working on my tooth right away.
2. the Doctor had extensive knowledge of the possibilities that can occur with an extraction, and, more importantly, the aftercare regimen that is required.
3. the Doctor has a nice but deliberate touch, which I appreciated because although I didn't want the pain, I had to get on with the operation so I could return to work and my life in general. As I said, I knew he knew I was a little nervous about the pain, so he also gave me plenty of Novocain to stop the pain and offered to get me a prescription for 600mg Ibuprofen.

I can only opine on the office and office staff. For reasons unrelated to the doctor and services, I did not have my appointment. Nonetheless, I was in the office to reschedule my appointment (which I ultimately decided to cancel). The office was shabby in a small strip mall of injury related services. That was icky enough (yet tolerable), but the overwhelming smell of Subway Subs wafting in from next door did not give me a feeling of confidence. The stall was a little pushy yet not very helpful in my experience.

I was a little afraid and embarrassed about seeing a new dentist, they greeted me with kindness and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Kim was very nice and explained to me the problems I was having and a plan to get me better. The office was clean and the staff very polite. This will be my new office. The overall experience was great with the Staff and Dr. Kim. He did a thorough examination and excellent cleaning. Best cleaning i’ve had from a dentist. He was honest about my dental needs. I was told by prior dentist that i needed a tooth abstraction or a root canal. Come to find out, The tooth is fine and I just need to wear my mouth guard at night

Dr. Kim and his staff were phenomenal! I had an unexpected reaction to lidocaine prior to a procedure and he knew exactly what to do to respond fast and appropriately. His staff was great and provided a calm environment for me to cool down with anything that I needed! He and his office called back often through the evening to be sure that I was doing okay while I went to get everything checked out. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kim!
