Dr. Leonard grew up traveling as an "army brat." His family finally settled down in Fairfax County Virginia in his teenage years. Always knowing he wanted to be a dentist, he attended Virginia Commonwealth University to obtain his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2003. Wanting to increase his speed and proficiency in advanced dental techniques, Dr. Toyer then went to the University of Maryland to receive his two year certificate in Advanced General Dentistry, completed in 2005. There he practiced implant placement and restoration, rotary endodontics, hard and soft tissue surgeries, and cosmetic procedures in addition to general dentistry. Since the completion of this program he has been developing his craft as an associate dentist in the state of Virginia for the past seven years. He is an active member in the community where he volunteers his time at local clean-up programs and homeless shelters. He also is involved in youth programs, mentoring students, and participating in scholarship drives with the local chapter of his fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha.
Dr. Leonard is committed to advanced education in his field. He has been trained by the Hiossen Advanced Dental Implant Research & Education Center to become proficient in implant placement and restoration.

This was a phenomenal dental experience. The office is nice, clean, and modern. The front office staff is very friendly and were able to process my insurance with no issues. The hygeniests are awesome and friendly. Dr. Toyer does a great job at explaining what sort (if any) dental work you need and has great bedside manner. I will definitely be returning.

Even though I have a lot of work that needs to be done, Dr. Toyer and especially his staff (Danny in particular) made me feel very comfortable with my treatment plan. They were very professional, thoughtful and add a nice "human" touch to dentistry. I LOVE this office and Dr. Toyer is so calm and straightforward!
