After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Chemistry, Dr. Loc Nguyen went on to earn her D.D.S. from the Medical College of Virginia. She served the first 15 years of her professional career as a dentist with the Public Health Department in Prince William and Fairfax Counties. In 2002, she started her own practice in Sterling, Virginia where she focuses on Family and Cosmetic Dentistry.
In addition to her professional practice, she volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic and has gone overseas with Operation Smile to treat underpriviledged patients in Vietnam. Furthermore, Dr. Nguyen pursues continuing educational classes to ensure that her patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
Dr. Nguyen has 3 children and lives in McLean, Va with her husband Dr. Ban T. Vu.

I came for check up being pregnant, Dr. Loc was very pleasant to talk to, kind and professional, she went through what my insurance will cover for me (even though i knew already), she recommended to check with my prenatal care doctor if it will be safe to do x-rays so they can proceed with treatment (i needed crown and filling). She wasn't pushy nor tried to sell her services (like many other dentists did). She was patient and gave me enough of her time to talk to me about every aspect even though the office was busy and she had to go see other patients. They did cleaning and fluoride treatment. I've been very unfortunate with my previous dentists, who only looked at my mouth for 2 minutes just to calculate their profit. Dr. Loc is totally opposite. It was very positive experience! Looking forward to my next appointment!

First, I had to hold the suction device in my mouth until she discussed my insurance with the assistant. My mouth became so dry, it was painful. She did this several times. Then, she proceeded to spray water all over my face and laughed about it, saying she was giving me a facial. She only partially cleaned my teeth and stopped midway saying that she would not get paid by the insurance company if she did a full cleaning. I have never had such a terrible dental appointment before going to this dentist.

Dr. Nguyen has been my dentist for several years. She has an excellent bedside manner--she is very cheerful, good-humored, honest and professional. I have had fillings, whitenings, and Invisalign with her. I frequently get compliments about my smile, which is in part, from her good work. Her office is state of the art and I trust her technical abilities. She is also great with kids.

It was strange. I've never been to a dentist where they ask the patient to hold the spit suction instrument in your own mouth, while the dentist is working in your mouth. Also, when they used the rinsing device that sprays water in the patients mouth, they covered my entire face with water which dripped down my face and neck, into my hair and my clothes.
