Dr. Palagi made what is typically a nightmarish visit - 2 cavities/fillings -- quite pleasant. She is caring and attentive and very talented! And she is speedy!

Dr. Maia Palagi graduated from the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She further advanced her clinical qualifications by completing a prestigious general practice residency at the Manhattan VA hospital. In 2004, she joined the practice of Dr. Steven B. Syrop, a highly regarded expert in the area of facial pain, TMJ disorders and sleep apnea.
As a General Dentist, Dr. Palagi provides a wide variety of treatments, ranging from restorative to cosmetic dentistry. She also restores dental implants to replace missing teeth and enhances our patient’s smiles using the latest technologies, materials and techniques. Dr. Palagi is a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Palagi regularly participates in continuing education classes to provide her patients with the most advanced care possible. She was an ethics facilitator for 3rd and 4th year dental students at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Palagi is the most skilled, patient and kind dentist I have ever been to. We've never had a problem and I've been seeing her for almost a decade. My teeth are extremely sensitive and Dr. Palagi is completely sympathetic to this. In extreme cases when my teeth just couldn't get numb, Dr. Palagi spent around 45 minutes just trying different kinds of numbing agents and testing if they worked before starting work on a filling I needed. I recommend Dr. Palagi to anyone because she is a great doctor and will be passionate about the health of your teeth. If you have sensitive teeth like me and couldn't find a dentist who understood or fully appreciated just how intense tooth pain can be, Dr. Palagi is your solution. Good luck!
