Was not happy with todays experience. The appointment was for 10:15 am confirmed by zoc doc but when I arrived they stated they did not have an opening available because zoc doc’s opening does not align with their schedule. After a while they changed my appointment for 11:30 am bt when i arrived they had me waiting for an hour until i was seen. Very disappointed

Dr.Sokolina graduated from NYU Dental School in 1998 with the Periodontics Honor Award. She got her postgraduate training in one of the best General practice residency program in Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Sokolina successfully completed 2 year orthodontics program at United States Dental Institute.
She published an article in the World Journal of Orthodontics in 2002.Dr.Sokolina presented a lecture “Treatment techniques in pediatric dentistry” at the Dental convention in Atlantic City in 2001.
She completed a mini-residency implant program in 2003 and successfully placed and restored hundreds of implants.
Dr.Sokolina strives to constantly increase the level of her knowledge in the constantly expanding field of dentistry. She completed hundreds of hours of continuing education including Dawson Academy, TUFTs University for Sleep Apnea courses. It is the goal of Dr.Sokolina and everyone in her office to continue to be on the cutting edge of every new development in dentistry that could make procedures less discomfort and further improve quality of life of her patients.
Dr. Sokolina who was chosen as New Jersey Top Dentist of 2013 by New Jersey Topdocs and Healthy Living.
In addition to being an outstanding dentist, Dr. Sokolina has been active in promoting oral health care in the community by giving lectures in schools and day care facilities about the importance of oral disease prevention, hygiene and nutrition.
Every year Dr Sokolina and our office participate in various local events that are aimed at giving back to the community such as the annual Halloween candy buy-bank program, Operation Gratitude and various health and sporting events that raise money for local causes.
Dr.Sokolina holds teaching position at the Mountside Hospital Medical Center.
Dr.Sokolina is a member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association and Bear Brook Study club.
Dr.Sokolina is preparing for exam to get Diplomat status of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine(ABDS).

Always a good experience, Patient here for about 2 years now. There is rarely a wait to get in room and staff is very attentive and accommodating. Best dentist/orthodontist ever used and plan on sticking with them. : )

This my appointment with Dr Sokolina was impressed. The office was clean, they got me in right away, and Dr Sokolina is just a stand up guy. Since this was just a cleaning, she took her time cleaning my teeth and did a really great job. When I asked questions, she clearly explained why it happens, what the risk was, and how I can improve. She was also very personable and super friendly. Best service I've received from any dental office.

I have many good things to say about Dr. Sokolina and her staff "They are very professional courteous and amiable. The best of it THEY ARE NOT GREEDY about money, that's why, make them successful. They treat you like a HUMAN BEING. In this age of time when most doctor's offices are trying to get as much from your pocket regarding of the Oath they take when they become doctors this is one of the rare places where they care more about you than the bill. Yet they need it to survive. I give them 5 Stars because I believe they are perfect, and striving for perfection. Like I said to THEM on day "You are the best." GOD bless you. Maria herself is nice, straightforward, and explains every issue thoroughly and clearly.
However I cannot tolerate how unprofessional her staff is. I called the receptionist to also schedule an impression for a night guard. She could not confirm if they could add it on the to my existing appointment and said she would call back. She never called back. I had also asked for an estimated price - she said my insurance will cover 80% or 50% - so at most I will pay 50% - but she said she'd call back and confirm. Never received a return call. So, I called again a week before the appointment - again with no answers.
At the end of my appointment the receptionist asked me to wait while she called my insurance as she could not figure out the final fee - which I had called about twice prior to the appointment. I eventually just left because I was late getting back to my office.
As it turns out, this is not covered by my insurance at all. So I have to pay full price (several hundred dollars) after being told I would pay at most 50%.
What bothered me most was that the receptionist asked me several times if she could schedule my next cleaning. I said NO 3 times. I made it very clear I do not want to schedule an appointment.
As soon as I get back to work, I get a text confirmation for that exact appointment I said NO to. She scheduled it WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.
I found this so unprofessional and inappropriate. I will not be coming back.

I absolutely do not trust this dentist office.
I always have to call multiple times in advance to confirm everything because they never call back. They also bill you for additional services that were never confirmed. They performed professional services not authorized by the patient.
They do not check anything with your insurance until after the fact.
I had to personally call multiple times for quotes prior to my appointment, and was given false information from the office.
Only after my appointment did they call me with a bill twice as high as what they quoted me prior to the appointment - the receptionist called two weeks after and said she finally checked with my insurance (which is in-network) and the additional services were not covered. She stated they still need payment because the service was already performed. They were promoting the sale of services, goods, appliances, or drugs in a manner that exploits the patient.
This office is a scam and untrustworthy.

I had to wait almost an hour to see Dr. Sokolina. I understand today was her first day back after being away for 2 weeks so maybe they shouldn't have booked so many appointments for the day. My appointment kept getting interrupted by other people, but she did apologize and try to answer all of my questions fully.

My initial visit to Dr.Sokolina was accidental, since I thought she was on the east side of the city. I just moved from Syracuse and needed a dentist with competencies in sleep apnea and periodontal disease. I was going to cancel, but after reviewing her qualifications and training, I thought I would go ahead.
I'm very glad I did. She is wonderful. Intelligent, competent, and well organized. I look forward to an extended relation with her.

As pleasant and efficient as a trip to the dentist could be. On top of a very brief wait time, I was also treated to professionalism, compassion, and care with Dr. Sokolina, and her assistant. While my visit was rife with unpleasantries (root canals...), Dr. Sokolina was engaging and understanding, kind and informative. The procedure was only mildly uncomfortable, never painful, and quite quick. I was really pleased with the atmosphere, the behavior, and the treatment I received.
