Dr. Melissa Nahcivan was immersed in dentistry at a young age. As a third generation dentist in her family, Dr. Nahcivan is a caring and a passionate dentist committed to providing top quality personalized and comprehensive oral health care to her patients.
After graduating from University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Nahcivan pursued her dental education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. During her studies, she founded the Aesthetic Dentistry Society and discovered her passion for esthetic and restorative dentistry. During her studies, Dr. Nahcivan was given the University Student Award by the Academy of Dental Materials for her extensive research on restorative dental materials.
After obtaining her doctorate degree, she continued her post doctoral studies at the New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center by completing a General Practice Residency (GPR) where she gained extensive training in emergency treatments, advanced prosthodontics and dental surgeries. At her GPR program, Dr. Nahcivan also rotated through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and worked at the Oral Surgery & Dental Oncology Department as a dental fellow, and gained extensive training in management of medically complex patients and oral oncology.
Dr. Nahcivan was published in Scientific Journals numerous times, and her research focuses on restorative dentistry and personalized health care. She is a member of the American Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies in the field through continuing education courses. Whether it is a simple check up or a smile makeover, Dr. Nahcivan is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their optimal oral health and a confident, beautiful smile.
