Dear Friends and Family,
This letter is to introduce myself, Dr. Michael S. Yung, and to welcome you to my practice. I am a general dentist, and I also welcome children of all ages. My vision is to offer caring, comfortable, and comprehensive dental care. In addition, I also have a passion for cosmetic dentistry, where many new and exciting advances in dental materials such as composite or "white" fillings, porcelain veneers, implants, and teeth whitening are making the news today! My practice has state-of-the-art equipment, including soft leather dental chairs and digital x-rays to minimize radiation. These provide comfort and safety-two values which are most important to me.
To help you get to know me, I'll share a little bit about my background and how I came to love the practice of dentistry. I grew up in San Marino, CA, where many of my teachers encouraged me to think with my hands and my smile since both came naturally to me. My family dentist became my mentor and inspired me to consider becoming a dentist.
After attending college at Claremont McKenna, I decided on a career that would channel my creative talents through a hands-on approach in the healthcare industry. From there I went on to attend Northwestern University's School of Dentistry, one of the top ten dental schools in the country. I worked as an associate in a busy Chicago private practice for two years before moving back to Pasadena in 2003 to marry my lovely wife Cindy (who I've known since high school) and to build my dream practice. We now have two beautiful daughters: 4-year old Selene and 1-year old Hannah, whose energy and bubbly personalities bring a smile to our faces every day.
My attentive team is equally ecstatic about meeting you. With that said, I hope that you will give me the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your dental concerns with me. We are all committed to providing you and your family with excellent dental heath care in a professional and friendly manner.
