Coming from a long tradition of caring dentistry, Dr. Zemelman created Battery Park Dental Center in Manhattan in 1987 and has been practicing for 35 years. His experience allows him to provide the best outcome and results for his patients, with the minimal amount of discomfort. Dr. Zemelman's practice is a "one-stop shop" for his patients as he offers a variety of services and procedures ranging from crowns, implants, porcelain veneers and even specialized treatments for periodontal and prosthetic dentistry treatment. He provides his patients with the best patient experience possible using the latest technologies to bring his patients’ mouths to the state of full health.
Dr. Zemelman is dedicated to staying current with the latest innovations and technology. He attends more than 90 hours of continuing education courses a year. He is also active in the community. Following the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, he temporarily converted his Battery Park office into a recovery unit where nearly 40 wounded victims received help.
Dr. Zemelman’s professional experience includes work in reconstructive dentistry, anesthesiology, radiology and pathology. His professional affiliations include: American Dental Association, International Society of Esthetic Dentistry, New York Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and New York and Brooklyn Dental Forums. Dr. Zemelman is the third generation of dentists in his family. After receiving his degree in Europe, Dr. Michael Zemelman earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University Dental School in 1981.

I had a dental emergency and was recommended Dr. Zemelman by a friend. I was able to book my appointment online for the next day and I had no issues. Arrived early and was the only patient in the office, given a temp check on arrive. Was able to get in early and was out before I knew it! Staff was friendly and was able to help with what I needed done. Will definitely be going back and recommending to other friends who need dental care.

I thinknits fair to say, only go if you speak his native language. It was a bit difficult to understand what he was saying because his sentences werent complete and also his accent is thick. Also he said i had to something to me teeth but i got a sexons opinion and it was pretty clear that it was more optional than "dangerous if not done". Kinda felt like all he wanted was money. Either way he knows his stuff but communication was pretty weak. O

Receptionist was friendly and took me back right when I got in, even though I was 10 minutes early. Dental hygienist was very friendly and made me feel completely comfortable. She gave me a lot of advice on my dental care and genuinely seemed to care about my health!

I would highly recommend this doctor! He's amazing and an excellent professional. Sometimes you may have to wait 20 minutes if the previous patient stayed longer than expected. Definitely recommend it! It was hard for me to choose the right dental service after very bad experiences in other places in Manhattan so this place is the one for me!
