Dr. Dozier was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived most of her adolescent years in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor's in Biology with a minor in Medical Technology at West Chester University, during which Dr. Dozier studied one year abroad at the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas.
In January 2005, Dr. Dozier received the Drum Major for Justice Humanitarian Award from her Alma mater West Chester University, which compliments the "Key" from the city of West Chester as well as numerous honors from the City of Baltimore for her volunteer services. She continue to serve her community as an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated in the Silver Spring area.
In 2007 while receiving her journalism degree from the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland, Dr. Dozier had the pleasure of hosting a radio show and two television shows in the Baltimore area. In addition, she also serves as the Director of Media Relations for the Maryland Children's Oral Health Institute.
Dr. Dozier had the great opportunity of attending the University of Maryland Dental School, the direct descendant of the world's first dental college, the Baltimore college of Dental Surgery (BCDS). After graduation in 2002, Dr. Dozier worked as a general dentist during which she traveled to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Alaska to provide dental treatment for under-served pediatric populations. During this time she discovered her passion for treating children. Dr. Dozier decided to move cross-country and obtain her specialty in pediatric dentistry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a member of the National Dental Society, Maryland Dental Society, the National Association of Black Jounalists, and Hispanic Dental Association.
