I had some bondings/work done by Dr. Mikhail Nasakin earlier this Summer and am just now getting to the review. I looked around a bit for a cosmetic dentist in the area before choosing Dr. Nasakin, and I am glad that I did.
Dr. Nasakin cares about providing a high quality service in an efficient and transparent manner, and I get the sense when speaking to him that he is up to date on the latest methods, developments and practices in Cosmetic and General Dentistry. I'm happy with the results I saw, both from general cleanings I have had done by Dr. Mikhail, and from the bonding work he did (cosmetic). I also found the staff at the office to be straightforward, efficient and helpful.
If you are looking for a dental practice in the Palo Alto area, this is a good one to seek out!

As, Dr. Mikhail Nasakin strives to perfect his technique, he believes it is essential to be up to date with the latest technologies and treatment options. He attends continuing education courses offered through the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society. Dr. Nasakin enjoys giving back to the community and has participated in a various outreach programs as a student, a hospital resident, and most recently with the California Dental Association. In November of 2013 he helped organize a Medical/Dental Mission that delivered medical and dental care to the Philippines. Dr. Nasakin has also volunteered and provided dental care at the CDA Cares Foundation sponsored events in Sacramento and Solano Counties.
Dr. Mikhail Nasakin, the older of two siblings, was raised in the Bay Area and attended the University of California at Davis graduating in 2005 with a B.S. majoring in the field of Neurology, Physiology, and Behavior. Following in his mother’s footsteps, Dr. Galina Nasakin, he enrolled at New York University College of Dentistry obtaining his credentials of Doctorate of Dental Surgery graduating class of 2010. Prior to returning to the Bay Area in hopes of joining his mothers practice, Dr. Nasakin spent an additional two years completing his General Practice Residency training at Staten Island University Hospital. Completing a residency proved to be invaluable and allowed him to further hone his skill in a wide range of dental treatments, including but not limited to; restorative and cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, surgical procedures, periodontal treatment, and root canal therapy.

Dr. Nasakin was excellent, he saw me when I called and said I had pain and then did the surgery a week later. Very professional, always kept me posted on what he was doing, I feel confident in him as my dentist. Highly recommend.

Dr. Mikhail was professional and thorough. He immediately noticed my nervousness when I was told I needed 3 wisdom teeth pulled and said he could recommend a specialist to sedate me if I'm way too anxious. I appreciate any professional who's willingness to help trumps their own need for business.
On another note, his staff is also amazing. They saved me so much time by communicating with my insurance company for me.

I saw Dr. Nasakin for a cavity procedure and also cleaning/checkup (odd it wasn't a dental hygienist?). Not the most gentle cleaning, but visits were quick and efficient, and he is very clear in answering questions about the process. Office is contemporary and a bit hidden, but easy to access.

We actually had to postpone my initial (after arriving at the office) visit due to other medical complications. Dr. Nasakin and his staff were very courteous and communicative about everything that was happening and were really flexible with their time.

I filled out all of the forms on Zoc Doc and arrived 20 minutes early to fill out any extra paperwork. The appointment didn't start until 40 minutes after I arrived. The dental assistant wasn't great at taking x-rays, she kept having to do it over again and her gloves smelt VERY unpleasant. The dentist was more concerned with finding out who my previous dentist was and I left than reviewing my dental hygiene. I went there for a teeth cleaning and was interested in cosmetic procedures. Pretty confident I have a few cavities, but he said I don't? He was a bit rough, so I won't be returning. The office is also is also in a hard to find location.
