Dr. Mita A. Parikh is a dental specialist who has completed an advanced postdoctoral program, acredited by the American Dental Association, in the specialty of orthodontics. Dr. Parikh was accepted in the Muhlenberg College/University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine 3-4 BioDental Program directly upon graduating high school. She spent three years at Muhlenberg College in Allentwon, Pennsylvania followed by four years at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a B.S. degree in Biology from Muhlenberg (after completing year one of dental school) and a D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. After completing dental school she returned to New York to complete a one year general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She then went on to complete a two year postgraduate program in Orthodontics at the New York University College of Dentistry, where she received her certificate in orthodontics.
