Welcome to Bethesda Dental Studio where Dr. Nardos Ketsela is changing lives! Dr. Ketsela is a skilled and passionate doctor as it relates to her craft. Performing State of the Art Dentistry and a compassionate bed-side manner are what separate her from the rest.
Dr. Ketsela received her Dental Degree from the prestigious New York University. After her matriculation at NYU, she continued her dental studies by completing a one-year general practice residency at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She is constantly updating her knowledge and skills by attending classes, seminars, and hands on training workshops in order to better serve her patients. In addition to selecting, highly trained staff that provides personable and knowledgeable service to her patients, Dr. Ketsela’s view of giving everyone specialized and advanced state of the art care is obvious the moment you walk through the door.
When Dr. Ketsela is not changing lives in the office, she enjoys changing lives at home where she spends quality time with her husband and 2 sons. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with other friends and family.

Dr. Ketsala is very friendly and so is her staff. She did two crowns on my teeth and I had to go back to get them shaved down.
She always seemed rushed and my mouth was definitely in a lot of pain the several times I went (granted I don't floss as much as I should), but similarly to another patient commenting on zocdoc, my mouth was bleeding heavily and tears were rolling down my cheeks. This past appointment I arrived at 6:50am for 7am, and waited until 5 after, but no one was at the office.

A coworker recommended Dr. Ketsela to me -- having not seen a dentist in over a decade, I was terrified of trying to find a dentist who wouldn't make me feel guilty or try to sell me treatments way outside my financial capacity. I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Ketsela: she and her staff could not have been nicer or more sensitive to my needs, and my treatments (deep clean/scaling) were far less painful than I expected. I highly recommend her.

She's absolutely fantastic and her assistant is amazing too!! Actually everyone there are wonderful! Of course as a normal person I never like going to the dentist, but they're so great that I actually enjoy my time there. Dr Ketsela is really aware of your discomfort and makes sure she helps you to feel as little pain as possible! I am so happy I finally found a dentist I LOVE!! Totally recommend them!!

I can't possibly say enough nice things about Dr. Ketsela and Ania, her assistant. I haven't been to the dentist in far too long and I knew it was going to be rough - I was scared! Both of them kept me at ease, made sure I was as comfortable as possible, and took excellent care of me. I did not have a good experience with Dr. Ketsela. I went to her for an annual check up and then to have some cavities filled. After the filling appointment, I was experiencing a lot of pain in one of my teeth. I could not chew on the left side of my mouth without sharp pain in the tooth. I went back to see her and she told me that the filling just needed to be filed down because it was altering my bite. I went back to her office and had the tooth filed, but still experienced pain. I went to two other dentists to figure out what was wrong—apparently, she cracked my tooth during the filling process. I've had to have a root canal and crown on the tooth.
In general, I found Dr. Ketsela to have a gruff bedside manner. She was not gentle. She did not explain what she was doing to me as she was doing it.

Dr. Nardos is very friendly and professional, and so is her staff. The only complaints I had were that I had to go back to get my fillings shaved down a second time, and she had two clients at once (the rooms are only separated by a shelf so there isn't much privacy).

I hadn't been to the dentist in forever due to a strong fear of them. Dr. Ketsela was amazing, as was her staff. In getting my work done, I was asked several time if I was comfortable or in pain. I was even offered a blanket because I was shivering due to nerves! Dr. Ketsela explained everything and was so pleasant and gentle. She also spent a lot of time getting one filling just right. I have no fear in going back to see her. That was my 3d appointment and I was seen right away for all 3 and the expected time for the work was spot-on.

This was the worst dental office experience I've ever had. I've had multiple intensive dental procedures, including two oral surgeries, and yet I've never been afraid of dentists or been in pain during procedures or cleanings. Dr. Ketsela was really not gentle at all during my cleaning and I had tears in my eyes from it. She asked me three times if I flossed daily, which I honestly answered yes--like she didn't believe me, which was very off-putting. Even worse is that thee office staff is completely rude and incompetent--specifically Ms. Amanda Diaz. She clearly knows nothing about insurance billing and bungled my claim, which resulted in a bill sent to my home. I spoke with my insurance and they agreed that the dental office messed up. I spoke to Amanda Diaz on the phone and told her I was planning to pay the bill, though I wasn't happy about it. That day, she sent an incredibly unprofessional, threatening, and rude letter to my home, insinuating that I wasn't going to pay since it had been a whole five days since I had received it. Absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional, and unimpressive office and staff.

It was a disaster visit.She broke a file during the root canal and then recommended me to a specialist. Which ended up costing me again. It was not professional and looked like she was trying to not even unhappy about the erro and it seemed like it was my mistake rather than take responsibility, I am extremely disappointed.

I was referred to Dr. Ketsela by my orthodontist and am very happy to now have a new dentist. My first appointment went very pleasantly and have made followup appointments for the recommended dental work (crowns, 1 cavity). I felt like I could trust Dr. Ketsela to honestly assess what was needed and what could wait or not be attended to at all. Her receptionist was the most knowledgable and helpful of any office support staffer I have encountered. She knew all details of my insurance for the current and future visits and clearly explained my portion of the cost to me. Turns out she ran her husband's dental practice for years before joining Dr. Ketsela's team. I am very pleased with my experience.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!
I went for a routine cleaning and was told that I needed a deep cleaning. I told the dentist that I did not want to deep cleaning unless covered by my insurance company. I was assured that it would be covered and that I would have to pay a small amount. So I had he deep cleaning, paid my bill in full and left. Four years later I get a call from the office that I have a very significant outstanding bill. Whoa what?! I explained the situation to the office manager Jamie who said she understood that I would not have gotten a procedure that my insurance did not pay for and that she would submit an appeal to my insurance company. She calls back a few weeks later stating that the appeal was denied because it has been to long and that my account has been sent to collections. I explained to her again that it was not fair for me to have to pay for something that I was assured would be covered by my insurance I was hung up on...Please whatever you do save yourself the trouble and the money. Never in my life have I been to a doctor or dentist who tells me a procedure is covered by my insurance and then sends me a bill for the entire cost.

I waited about 20 minutes to be seen (the music in the waiting room was super loud, and there was a really strong smell of disinfectant). The assistant was a little clueless and made a few mistakes, but luckily Dr. Ketsela did the entire cleaning and exam herself. She was a bit rough and worked quickly (my mouth was sore the rest of the day). She was very thorough and my teeth feel very clean.
