My elderly relative had her first appointment with Dr. Michael Mortazie and we were very impressed how he made entire visit to go very smoothly.
Dr. Mortazie explain everything in details and took care of the painful tooth on the same visit.
Office staff that work there also were very friendly, pleasant and helpful!

After arriving for my appointment and completing the new patient forms, the front desk staff informed me that they were actually out-of-network for my dental insurance. ZocDoc and my dental insurance website both said they were in-network. Not a huge deal but was inconvenient and made me less likely to use ZocDoc or that dental office in the future.

Dr. Mortazie has excellent bedside manner and did a great job walking me through what he was doing throughout my appointment. He answered all of my questions and gave me specific feedback for appropriate steps I can take regarding my oral health. His staff was kind and efficient. This dental practice could handle ANY issue, from cosmetics to surgery, and could do so without delay.
Wish the office was closer to my home but the 30-minute drive was worth it to get such great service.

I really appreciated being able to book a next-day appointment for an emergency concern, then also being able to book a next-day root canal - I felt incredibly taken care of in an otherwise stressful situation! As someone with severe medical anxiety, I also can't speak highly enough of the patience and kindness I received from Dr. Mortazie and the entire staff - they really put my mind at ease and I'm not at all concerned about returning for future visits.

Really great office with high-tech gizmos. Seemed to actually take certain things my prior dentist didn't seem bothered by seriously, and thus actually provided a treatment plan that worked. High-tech equipment my old office didn't have, and as a result, learned some interesting things about my anatomy that were impacting both my teeth but also my general health. I moved so I can't go there now. Kind of pricey- the mouth wash I need is much cheaper at my new dentist, but I'd still recommend going there.

Doctor was kind enough to explain what was going on in my x-ray and gave me all the options necessary for treatment - going from least to most pricey. I really appreciated that because he was real and explained everything that was happening. He also listened to me 100% and knew exactly how to tackle the issue I was having. Never felt so relieved and heard by a doctor who knows what he is doing!

I had such a great initial visit with Dr. Mortazie today! He didn’t try to sell me on anything and was very comprehensive in my exam and his recommendations. The staff were all very friendly and I was attended to right away. Definitely recommend this practice and these people!

The office is clean and nicely decorated. The doctor is a little bit on the talkative side, which is kind of awkward (it's hard to answer questions when a dentist is working on you), but I had no issues with his diagnoses or treatment.

The hygienist was incredibly rude and aggressive. Made the appointment unpleasant and, to be frank, a little scary.
Dr. Mortality was very nice and personable, but given that I only spent 5% of my visit with him, my review must be focused on the poor experience with the female hygienist.

Dr. Mortazie is simply the best! I had my first visit a few weeks ago, and I was blown away by the office (it's like a dental spa), the staff front desk and dental staff are so nice and knowledgeable! I was offered water and greeted promptly when I came in, and the assistant took me back right away which is a plus because I have a very busy schedule. One thing that stood out was that Dr. Mortazie was very thorough and took his time showing me pictures and x-rays of my mouth and did not mind breaking down everything from dental to layman's terms so that I understood all the treatment that he suggested. I went there kind of scared that I would need a root canal, but it just ended up being fillings and a few other things, and I left feeling at ease! By the way, when it was time to check out, the girl at the front Ebony had all of my insurance information and said she would submit my charges to insurance so I would not have a copay! Sweet! She gave me my co-pay for my fillings which this review is about! Dr. M took out my metal fillings and put in white fillings and they look amazing! It has done wonders for my smile! Thank you Revive Dentistry & Thank you Dr. Mortazie! I would recommend to all! P.S. They validated my parking for free which is an extra plus since D.C. parking is a hassle!

Dr. Mortazie is the best dentist I have seen to date. I have severe TMD and he was the first DDS to not only identify the true underlying cause of the condition, but to also take an extensive amount of time developing an effective treatment plan. I have seen many dentists over the years, all of whom have offered little to no hope for treating TMD beyond taking copious amounts of Advil. Thanks to Dr. Mortazie, I left his practice feeling both validated and hopeful. I am still in treatment as it is a lengthy process, but it has all been very worth it. I couldn't say enough great things about this practice!

I set up an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. It appeared they didn’t want me to do that. I'm a young adult who flosses and brushes my teeth twice daily. I was told I have early stage periodontitis. I went and got a second opinion and I am now writing this review. I was told my insurance was in network prior to the appointment. However, I was not provided with information that my insurance will only pay them a minute amount of money. I will have to pay several hundred dollars for this appointment. At medical facilities that I've been to and have worked at, they always collect the patient’s responsibility before seeing the doctor. I was not able to confirm with my insurance that I would be responsible for the egregious bill that they informed me I'll have after the visit. I do not have the 5 ADA codes they used, therefore I ca not confirm my responsibility with my insurance. Conveniently they have an alternative and that is to pay a reduced cash special. I found it inconvenient that I had to ask to have to get me teeth cleaned multiple times following a conversation to persuade me to buy in to this several thousand dollar treatment plan to reverse my "gum disease." Which is not covered by insurance. I Left paying almost a couple hundred dollars for less than adequate dental care. I specified my reason for visiting and that was to get my teeth cleaned. However, they took the time to give me a consultation and advice informing me of their wonderful procedures. That in turn is another ADA codes not covered by any insurance. I specified on the contract the level of care I wanted standard dental care and received a consultation on irrelevant dental approaches and inadequate dental services.

There was about 2 hours of high pressure upselling at this office, from waterpiks to mouthwashes to deep cleanings. The office also requires new patients to undergo every x-ray and photo procedure known to modern dentistry. They won't do cleanings without first doing 60 minutes worth of x-rays, 30 mins worth of pitching the virtues of deep cleaning, and then finally offering to do a regular cleaning if you refuse the other treatments. I'm also not sure if everything is properly cleaned, especially the mirrors they put in your mouth to take photos. Mine came from a wrapped paper towel and then I saw the hygienist just rinse it off and wrap it up into a new papertowel in the same fashion mine came in, perhaps for the next patient. Also, the hygienist touches lots of other surfaces such as counters and doors with the gloves between sticking her fingers in your mouth, which is a little unsanitary.

Dr. Mortazie is excellent. His patient care is really impressive. At one point, while trying to get a pharmacy to fill a prescription he prescribed, he was calling and emailing the pharmacy on a Saturday afternoon to make sure it was taken care of. Dr. Mortazie is highly recommended!

This is a dental spa. If you're looking for a straight forward dentist, I'd suggest you try another place. If you want the gourmet dental experience with the higher cost, then you'll be happy.

I love this dentist office. The professionalism and warmth that was distributed throughout the entire visit was amazing! They made me feel comfortable, they made me feel safe, and they were just wonderful. Dr. Mortazie was very very thorough with the information that he explained to me and his staff was equally knowledgable. I have nothing but good things to say about this office!

I haven't been to the dentist in a VERY long time and I was VERY long overdue for a checkup. Dr. Mortazi and his staff were excellent. Though I had trouble locating the office (my fault) I arrived late but they were still accomodating. Lovely dentist's office. SUPER nice compared to all the ones I've ever been to!!!
It didn't even feel like a dentist's office!!! It was so pretty :) Ha! Anyways, he came in and talked to me so kindly. Was very supportive. And his staff was so nice. I felt so comfortable.
He spent a tremendous amount of time with me and explained EVERYTHING!!! IN DETAIL!! He helped me understand my issues and the treatments required. Though I was overwhelmed he was great at comforting me. I HIGHLY recommend his office!
I was a bit skeptical going because well everyone is, after reading online but stepping into the office I was quickly assured and felt at ease, (though I'm TERRIFIED) of dentists!!!
