Dr. Symeonides has been serving the Astoria Community for over 13 years. He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1993. He then completed his dental residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Symeonides also graduated with a fellowship degree from NYU College of Dentistry Surgical and Prosthetic Program regarding the surgical aspects of dental implants.
In addition to his time spent at his dental practice providing treatment to a variety of patients, Dr. Symeonides also greatly enjoys spending time with his two young boys as well as playing sports such as basketball and golf.
Dr. Symeonides is currently a clinical associate professor at New York University College of Dentistry and a clinical consultant for The Dental Advisor. He is member of The American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Academy of Osseointegration, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, The Queens County Dental Society and The Hellenic Dental Society.

The wait is usually a bit long - I think they book appointments way too close together. The doctors' office staff is extremely helpful once they get to know you as a patient; you have to be kind to them and they will immediately jump to help you!
Dr. Paul is a little abrasive. He was very clear on the course of treatment he recommended to me but has strong opinions. He will answer questions that I have but may be pushy if I disagree with him. I suppose this can be seen as both professional but less-than-ideal

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a dentist. No matter what time your appointment is, you'll always have to wait at least an hour top be seen. He is rude and patronizing, and in my last visit I was not only mistreated but he yelled at me in front of his staff. The reason? Because all I have is Medicaid. He continuously insisted on pushing alternative expensive treatments to what Medicaid pays for. Unless you have a posh insurance or lots of cash to give him, if all you have is Medicaid I strongly urge you to look for another dentist. One that will treat you with courtesy and professionalism even if you have the audacity of being poor and only having Medicaid!

I saw Dr. Paul for just about a year. He was always nice to me and took good care of me, but I always had to wait to see him. When I questioned him about the wait time he told me that's how it is.
Office staff is never consistent, except for his Office Manager Gloria - God help her for putting up with him - I hope he pays her well!
I now see someone else in town and the wait time is a lot shorter - great staff and great care.

He does his work... but if you are unable to afford services he instantly shouts I DON'T WORK FOR FREE when clearly as a patient we do not expect that. If he hears your insurance doesn't cover a procedure he instantly gets irritated with you and becomes condescending. He gets irritated if he hears that you refuse to get work done and would like to hold off till it is possible. He was rude to other familiar patients to me and is impatient with both patients and staff.

I had an awful experience. I had a 10am appointment and no one arrived at the office until 10:30. The doctor was late and when he got there he was rushed and snapping at his staff. He worked on me and on another patient at the same time with the result that he was distracted and did a terrible job of filling my cavity. i had pain in the tooth for two weeks after my appointment, and finally found another dentist who had to completely redo the filling and who told me that there was still decay in the tooth. I do not recommend that anyone visit.

Great Experience! Everyone there was very nice, patient, helpful, and organize. Especially the receptionist Gloria. Of course brilliant dentists and hygienists. The clinic was small but incredibly clean, organize, and classically beautiful. I will definitely recommend this clinic to everyone I know and family members.
