Dr. Paul Zhivago received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry where he also completed his education as a Prosthodontist. He is a specialist in Esthetic, Restorative and Implant Dentistry.
Currently he is also at Columbia University where he is an implant fellow and continues his education by placing more surgically complex implants. He is furthering his expertise to manage soft and hard tissue surgeries in conjunction with difficult implant placements.
At New York University College of Dentistry he is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. In 2014 he was awarded the Panadent Teaching Award and in 2013 he won the Resident Award at the Annual World Series Conference based on his presentation regarding digital dentistry.
He is one of the unique prosthodontist who can sculpt his restorations in a digital 3D environment and deliver customized digital dentistry. He can integrate shape and form of the restoration to correlate it to the existing facial features to achieve a more natural and beautiful smile that is in sync with each individual. His in-depth knowledge to operate digital data and his expertise in 3D design allows him to utilize modern tools of contemporary dentistry to individualize restorations for every possible case.
Dr. Zhivago is a second generation dentist. His dental career didn’t start in the USA, it started in Germany. He was always passionate about dentistry, even as a child he liked to be in his father's office to observe what he was doing. He always strives to the get to the next level of this profession to be able to provide the next level care for his patients. This is reflected in his extensive training in the US and Europe.
He is a member of American College of Prosthodontics, Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and the American Dental Association.
In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family and enjoys snowboarding in the winter and in the summer he follows his passion as a car enthusiast and likes to race on the track.
