Once inside, everything moved very quickly. The gentleman that did my X-rays was very nice, polite and professional. The dental hygienist was also very professional did a great job cleaning my teeth. Dr Rumack came in right after everything was done. He was very kind, polite and listened to my concerns. I would highly recommend this office to others.

As a first time patient at this office, I was completely turned off. The best hospitality came from the Reception staff. I went in for a Root Canal consultation and ended up feeling like I was on a sales presentation. I saw three different doctors who of which gave me different feed back from Dr Rumack. (who was my scheduled doctor) The owner (not sure of his name because he did not introduce himself) is a business man. I did not feel as if there was any care for my pain nor my treatment. All I felt they were concerned with was my money. The two owners (husband & wife) were insisting that I do a whole extraction and get some bone that would cost to take the place of my tooth. I was confused as Dr. Rumack told me I just needed a root canal. Again, I did not feel as if they CARED only was looking for how many ways they could get money out of me. The owners started then talking to me about Invisalign, again, my appointment was for a ROOT CANAL CONSULT so I did not understand why the major focus was not on that first. When I asked the wife who is also a doctor if they did payment plans her response was "Of Course, we are in Washington Heights". I don't feel as if that was the appropriate response especially if I am a new patient here. Out of any doctors, dentists offices I have ever been in, this had to be the my worst experience. I am only going back to do finish my treatment. Otherwise, I would not recommend this office.

I cannot believe the remarkable care that I received from Dr. Rumack and his staff. After a few traumatic experiences, I developed a pretty bad phobia of the dentist. Dr. Rumack totally managed to reverse that phobia in one visit!! If your looking for a gentle, compassionate, and professional dentist don't hesitate to come to Dr. Rumack's Practice. You wont regret it everyone from the front desk staff to the dental assistants were great!

This was by far, the best dentist I have ever been to! From the moment I stepped inside, I received a warm greeting from the medical biller/receptionist. I completed the paperwork, since it was my first visit, while the biller called my insurance company to confirm my coverage.That was very nice of her, since many places say that you must have your card present. While i was completing the paperwork, Dr. Rumack came out and introduced himself to me, and even shook my hand. He asked me the reason for my visit and also made small talk. It turned out that the office was only in network with the PPO and not the HMO of my plan. The lady even called the insurance company back to see if they could bill for the visit since it's an emergency. Unfortunately, the insurance company refused. The doctor knew I was in a lot of pain, so he offered his services at a reasonable price that I could afford out of pocket. I felt so comfortable and laid back with both him and his dental assistant, Diane. She was so nice!! They aren't stuck up like most medical professionals. And they know what they're doing!! They were both able to point out exactly what was causing my pain, which my general dentist was not able to. ?? I am 100% satisfied with their professionalism, their knowledge and their overall services. I would definitely recommend this office!!

Maura, my dental hygienist, did a thorough cleansing of my teeth. I told her that I prefer a manual cleansing instead of the use of the cavitron due to sensitivity, and she took her time. She did it manually and only used the cavitron for a short period of time. I am very grateful and pleased with the results. Dr. Rumack also checked on me and the x-rays that were taken. The technicians, the dentist, the front desk staff --they are all very professional.

I've lived in Washington Heights for three years now, and I finally decided to find a new dentist in the area. After extensive research, I wanted to give Doctor Rumack a try, and I'm so happy that I did! The offices are extremely well kept, both clean and modern. The receptionists were welcoming and professional, making the check in process effortless. I was taken back right away, at which point I did have to sit for a bit while the hygienists prepared. Overall however, the waiting wasn't bad. First I had x-rays, and the technician was great! Quick and easy, she made jokes during the process to put me at ease. Next was my cleaning, and after not seeing a dentist for five years, I was nervous. The hygienist was understanding, kind, and very thorough. I didn't feel judged, and she did a remarkable job. Finally, Doctor Rumack came in. From the start, he was warm and friendly. I immediately felt calm. He examined my teeth and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. He even corrected an issue I had been dealing with for the past ten years, due to another dentists poor work. I would highly recommend Doctor Rumack to anyone. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, knowing that I finally found my new dentist.

Found Dr. Rumack on ZocDoc as my previous dentist retired and I had a dental emergency. Dr. Rumack was very accommodating; I got an appointment right away. He was also very patient; I am a total basket case when going to the dentist. The office was neat and clean and equipment was updated with computers and full mouth x-ray machine which my previous dentist did not have. Dr. Rumack made me feel comfortable enough that I want to return and take care of my teeth.

I highly recommend Dr. Rumack to anyone who is looking to get rid of their dentist's jitters like I was. I have been to two appointments at Dr. Rumack's office so far and they have been pretty good considering they were dentist's appointments. Let me just start by saying that I've had pretty traumatic experiences with dentists when I was younger and have been avoiding going for years. It was my first time in 2 years seeing one other than the emergencies work I've had done at other places.
The wait time in his office the initial visit was 10-15 minutes (I filled out all the paperwork online-saved time) and the second visit was right away! That hardly ever happens. He is very professional, friendly and swift. He works quickly but gets everything done properly, which for me is important, since I would hate to spend the whole day in the dentist's office, my anxiety would probably start to come back hah.
So far he has changed 3 silver fillings with white compound ones, and I will be returning to get more changed. I have been self conscious about my teeth for years! And seeing the difference and the ease of getting it done with Dr. Rumack made me ask him to change some of the other ones as well since they're so old anyway and hideous. I am planning on having a lot more work done on my teeth that I have been putting off for years.

This kind doctor is very skilled and professional and made me feel comfortable. Apparently a doctor did a filling on my 3rd molar and didn't remove the infection completely which left me with an overly sensitive or " hot tooth" where my nerves was basically on fire, and I was on the edge of a root canal which is not paid for by the insurance because its a back tooth. Dr. Peter removed the rubbish and cleaned it out and I was good to go in no less then 30 mins. The music was relaxing, it was a cool. clean, and collectively a great atmosphere. thank you doctor!!!

I love it!! I did not wait, doctor Rumack is a tremendous dentist and very experienced!! On scheduled time, the staff was very friendly, Spanish speakers and they have all what I need in the same place. I highly recommend Dr. Rumack and The clinic.
