The whole office had a very welcoming and friendly environment. They really are interested in you as opposed to just being a customer. Dr. Rao made me not feel so nervous about getting my wisdom teeth out. Everything went well. My only complaint is the coffee.

Dr. Rakesh (Ron) Rao has been a dentist for over ten years, and comes to Tria Dental Tysons with a unique combination of both clinical experience and teaching experiences in both the dental and periodontal fields. He attended Boston University and received his Doctorate in Dentistry (DMD) in Advanced Standing. He then went on to Prague where he performed research and clinical work in both dental implantology and periodontics. He received his PhD from the prestigious Charles University, also known as the University of Prague, which is one of the oldest universities in the world having been founded in the year 1348.
Since his graduation, Dr. Rao has published more than 10 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals in the US and throughout Europe. He is passionate about not only periodontal and implant dentistry, but also cosmetic dentistry. Outside of work, Dr. Rao lives in the Gainesville, VA area with his wife, Dr. Teena Sareen, who is also a local dentist, and their toddler.

I came for a 2nd opinion about my veneers. The doctor answered all my questions and spent time with me. I had been told I need all teeth capped and he just replaced one. What a much better experience, great I came.

It was a very nice visit, Dr. Rao is very soft spoken and has gentle hands. He explained what was wrong and how he was going to fix the problem.
