I was seen quickly the office was nice and clean the staff was nice, probably the best dentist visit I've had. They give away free toothbrushes the really nice kind and he didn't even charge for my fluoride treatment.

He's awesome! Can't recommend him highly enough. Sets you very at ease, has a wonderful bedside manner, and did an excellent job cleaning my teeth.
It had been a while since my previous cleaning and I was met with absolutely no guilt trips about the gap in care or how often I floss. It was awesome!

Rick is by far the best dentist I've ever had. He makes it a pleasure to come into the office. Not only is he just a genuinely good person, but he is extremely friendly. He also doesn't sell you on things you don't need. If you have major problems he'll work with you to prioritize what needs to be done, when, etc. He'll also be honest with you on price and won't gouge you. Honestly, I could not recommend him more highly!!!!

Dr. Gruntz and his father are both very nice and very attentive. I have never felt that they tried to do more work than was necessary-- something that I've experienced with other dentists in the past. Their office is small, but nice, though it is a bit difficult to find the first go 'round! I've recommend Dr. Gruntz to two friends who have also found him to be a very good dentist.

I never write reviews, but Dr. Gruntz was awesome. I've been to all of the high-priced dentists who just see you as a dollar sign. Dr. Gruntz is the nicest, and most comforting dentist I've ever seen. This was the most enjoyable appointment with the dentist I've ever had, and this is coming from someone with dentist APPT anxiety. As I told him today, he's gained a patient for life, as long as I'm in his same geographic area.
10/10. Would recommend to anyone.

I consider myself fortunate to have found Dr. Gruntz. I hadn't seen a dentist in about 4 years. With this comes a certain degree of embarrassment and a fear of (perhaps) the unknown. I went in with a condition, I feared, was somewhat urgent for me. It turned out not to be so. Dr. Gruntz provided me with a couple of practical options to chose from (there was NO selling here). He went to work immediately explaining every single thing he was about to do along the way. He clearly noticed my anxiety from the beginning of our meeting and continually offered assuring and comforting support in between his explanations. I really needed and appreciated this. As long as Dr. Gruntz's practice is something I can commute to, I will certainly only be going there.

Always a pleasure to visit Dr. Gruntz. Very professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. I used to dread going to the dentist because I always felt lie they would say something was wrong just to get the bill higher. Dr. Gruntz actually seems to care about his patients and he puts the time in to learn about them. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic. I have never left the dentist feeling amazing until I met this father son team. Richard is easy to talk to and funny! I hadn't been to a dentist in 6 years but he made the whole experience smooth and stress free.

I'm not normally one to write a review however,with how seamless this appointment went I felt it necessary. The dental office is inside of the crystal city shops, you can park in the parking garage and the office assistant will validate your parking for you at the end of your visit (a definite perk!). I waited no more than five minutes before Dr. Gruntz greeted me and took me back to get my teeth cleaned. He apologized for having me wait five minutes, if you're like me then this would surprise you granted the fact that I don't know many doctors that don't make you wait more than five minutes and surely never apologize for making you wait. Dr. Gruntz talked to me the entire time he was cleaning my teeth, not in annoying way though, he was pleasant and made sure to walk me through what he was doing. I don't think anyone ever enjoys the dentist, but Dr. Gruntz made the process such a positive experience. Not only was he pleasant to be around but the cleaning was completed effortlessly, not once was I in pain or any discomfort. I am so thankful I found Dr. Gruntz on zocdoc and have already booked my next appointment in six months!

This was my first visit to the dentist in years and everything about the visit was excellent. Dr. Gruntz was very professional and informative regarding the dental work that I should look into doing. The staff there are also very friendly and helpful, they helped me find the actual office location in the morning when I was kind of lost and were very efficient with the paperwork/billing.

I was running late and when I called they were very accommodating. The office can be hard to find, but they are very proactive about giving directions. They do NOT push procedures on you. I had had x-rays recently and they said that we didn't need to redo them, I had a few trouble spots that other doctors have told me I should fill but here I was told they would just keep an eye on them and it wasn't urgent. Overall, and really pleasant experience!

Another fantastic visit, I went to get a root canal for the first time and everything went smoothly. I went in thinking that it would be a painful procedure given what some people have told me but that was totally not the case!

This is probably the first time in my life that I genuinely enjoyed my visit to the dentist. How many dentists come to escort you when they realize you're having difficulty finding his offices? Have any ever given you a tour of their facility and their gee-whiz gear? This one did. Dr. Gruntz is a delightful professional who clearly behaves as if he has his patient's best interest at heart. Did I mention he did an outstanding job on my new crown? Definitely check him out if you are partial to great dental care.

I had my first appointment today and honestly, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Not only was Dr Gruntz extremely informative, he was also very personable and comforting. And honest! I came in thinking I knew what treatments I needed (I had seen another dentist in another area before I moved here) but Dr Gruntz told me it wasn't necessary right now. Instead, he focused on what was essential to my dental health. He answered all of my questions clearly and thoroughly, especially when explaining what the X-rays entailed. I'm going in again for a crown next week and I'm really excited about it. They can actually place a new crown on my tooth in just one visit. Oh and their prices are very reasonable! Given the level of experience, quality, and superior technology at this office, you'd expect to pay so much more. I'm truly, truly impressed!

I've been going to Dr. Gruntz for about 10 years now, and I can't imagine going to another dentist. They've always been professional, and have never tried to pressure me into unnecessary procedures. I've even asked to have one done (replace some bondings) and they told me there wasn't any need - would have been easy money on their part, but it wasn't necessary, so they didn't want to do it. Doesn't get much better than that.
They're very friendly and courteous, and always make me feel at ease when I go. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Zocdoc has done it again. I've lucked out with every doctor I've found on here. Dr. Gruntz was personable and compassionate. I was looking for a dentist I could stick with and I've definitely found him. I was overdue for a cleaning and he was apologetic for having to scrape away. That was of my own doing but it said something that he cared enough to speak up.
