About Dr. Jiakun Cheng
Dr. Jackie Cheng strives to provide dental care of the highest quality with compassion. She believes in optimizing the patient experience in order to achieve the best treatment outcome possible. She is dedicated to patient advocacy and passionate about serving her community. She constantly updates her techniques to offer the finest in modern dentistry. Dr. Cheng received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Case Western Reserve University with a full scholarship from the US Army. Her research in public health dentistry was recognized by the American Dental Association. She has also completed a mini-residency in TMD & Orofacial Pain at Tufts University. She proudly served as an Active Duty officer serving soldiers and their families for four years with duty locations in Germany and Japan. She has extensive experience in emergency management, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Cheng is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and German. She has worked with patients from all around the world. She volunteers at Federally Qualified Health Centers to treat underserved communities and to promote patient advocacy. Dr. Cheng and her team are committed to providing the safest and most comfortable dental experience for you and your family.

Dr. Cheng is the best at her craft and a true professional. Her knowledge, skill, and bedside manner are world class. She provides straight forward advice and does little things like sending email reminders to her patients to wear a retainer, all in an effort to help her patients strive for perfection - she is perfect. She is also truly inspirational being a working mom and veteran. I would recommend Dr. Cheng to everyone and hope for many more years under her care.

Great experience. Considering I booked this appointment at 5am looking for same day treatment, I received the treatment I was looking for. The staff was very friendly, service was immediate and accommodating. Definitely think I’ve found my new Dentist!

I showed up to the clinic at the scheduled time and was told that no clinician was on site at all. The receptionist was surprised to hear about the appointment and was apologetic. She said the other person was supposed to put the appointment on the calendar and they didn't. I don't understand why the clinic is on Zocdoc if the appointment isn't connected directly to the doctor's schedule. It's extremely unprofessional to have patients show up to that situation, especially for some who have to drive into the city for an appointment. Very disappointing.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Chang and would strongly recommend her. Every aspect of the visit was very professional: appointment started exactly when it should have, she took the time to document and explain what was going on and talk me through the various options, and she was also willing to accommodate my slightly unusual preferences and subsequently deal with the issue on the spot. What's not to like, right?
All told, the pain I felt yesterday and that led me to visit Dr. Chang is quickly vanishing and I'm very optimistic about the chances of keeping the tooth alive, so a great result overall. A shout out also to the admin team who were super friendly and quick to respond to my requests.
Bottom line: a BIG thank you to Dr. Chang and the whole team and she'll definitely be my first port of call in the future!

Dr Cheng is great! I went in for a second opinion and was given clear guidance for why her suggestions were different than the previous dentist I saw. She also gave such a great explanation of how she reads xrays which is something I never got from a previous dentist. After having a bad experience at a previous dentist, I was so grateful for a pleasant experience with Dr. Cheng. Also even though I was almost a 1/2 hour early for my appointment, they saw me early and didn’t wait for my original appt time which was great! I was expecting to have to wait.

This has been my favorite dentist appointment of all time! I put off going to the dentist for so long because I felt overwhelmed just trying to find a practice that would take my insurance, had good reviews, was near me, etc. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Sean, who was extremely. I waited for about two minutes before Dr. Cheng greeted me. Dr. Cheng was AMAZING. She took the time to explain how she works, walk me through my x-rays, listened to all my questions, and generally had a great bedside manner full of helpful dental advice. I am thrilled to have finally found a practice and doctor, and I'll definitely be coming back!

Dr. Cheng was amazing! She explained my X-Rays thoroughly so I could actually understand the current state of my teeth. She also walked me through ways to ensure the health of my teeth in the long term. Dr. Cheng and her assistant Alexis were incredibly friendly and approachable. I am so glad I switched providers!
